If you are aware The Game Awards on the night of December 7 upon the release of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, you would know that it revealed the character of the for the first DLC package.
The problem is, no one guessed it would be this guy.
Believe me, I'm still reeling at the fact that this is even a thing. It doesn't even have a platform on Nintendo.
No, this guy was on PLAYSTATION FROM SONY. This basically proves to me that it nothing is impossible to get characters who have no relation to Nintendo can get in. Many YouTubers are aware of him, but not for the possibility of this. Have fun reeling in this kind of information!

Author's Note: I would have posted my screaming reaction to this game's release, but this came out before I started this, so I might as well put this in here.
Plus, I went on Discord to check out some reactions, and one guy said that Sans from Undertale had a large chance of getting in.
There was also something that was to have stated from Sakurai; that the DLC will be only be characters who don't have representatives as fighters, which might mean no beloved Waddle Dee since the Kirby department was established in the first game.............it sounds strange but I'll make an edit once this info is confirmed.
