Park suyong: I am 18 years old and I have been living in Brooklyn for the past 18 years and got tired of it. My parents won't let me go out with my friends and i wanna start a new life something that will give me a little meaning in my life. I just graduated out of high school and now my parents give me full permission to go to any college I want this was a big step for me. I always wanted to move to Seoul and go to university there but my parents would never let me, since there like that. But I had to try.

It was July 1st and I still have not asked my parents but I have told my friends and they think I'm crazy for taking such a big step, but that's life. Today was the day I told my parents what I wanna do but coincidentally my favorite aunt was over and was taking with my parents. I decided to go up to them and I asked my dad,"Dad I've made up my mind I wanna go to Seoul university" , he had no idea what that was and I had to explain to him it's a university in Seoul meaning I wanna move to Seoul and since I'm the 2nd youngest child out of 4 kids my dad did not even hesitate to say NO but gladly my aunt talked to my dad and said "let her go she has to experience something like this once in her lifetime she will never be 18 again she is a adult now let her live her life, plus Seoul university is a great place for her you will be so proud of her". My dad said , "give me some time to think" and by July 28th (my birthday) he said YES. Now the scariest part is if I got accepted and yes I filled the application after I asked him so I don't get in trouble . A week later I got a letter saying I got accepted to Seoul university and screamed on the top of my lungs that I'm moving to Seoul. The only thing wrong was that now I have one month to move to Seoul since school starts in September and we are one day behind Seoul.
