"Because...I love you too"

Your heart stops. Sure it was one thing to think someone loves you, but it was another to hear them say it out loud.
Standing there in that moment, your hair dripping wet, surrounded by Kakashi's clothes and scent, with him standing in front of you looking so deeply into your eyes you thought you might pass out.

His hand comes up and cups your cheek.
"I do (y/n). I love you"
And with that he leans into your face, pulling down his mask, and softly kisses you. It's everything and nothing like you'd imagined at the same time. You kiss him back and his arms go around you, supporting you.

He pulls away and holds you in his arms.
"I got so scared when you collapsed. And I knew in that moment that I would do anything to make you better. Anything to make you happy"

You feel water on your cheeks and realize they're tears. You look up to see Kakashi crying softly and clearly angry at himself for doing so. You grab his face with your hands.

"Kakashi don't cry. I'm all better now" "Thanks to you"
