Chapter 3

The Decepticon swung at us and growled.

"RUN!", I yelled.

The organics started running and I followed.

"I know this is a really bad time but. . . Hi. I'm Miko. That's Jack and Raf.", the femme said and pointed to the mechs as she said their designations, "What's your name?"

I went to answer but found that the one known as Raf spoke instead.

"Genocide, right?", Raf asked, I nodded, confused, "I know your name from Ratchet. He tells me stories about Autobots that died in the war. You were the first one he told me about."

"If you didn't die in the war, and you're here, what did happen?", Jack asked.

"It was in the early years of the war when it happened. Megatron's rage for Optimus was still fresh. He killed my sire with his blade and killed my carrier with a virus that wiped out millions.", I started.

"The Cybonic Plague.", Raf said.

"How do you know of it?", I asked.

"Optimus got infected. Arcee and Bee went to find the cure for him in the warship and found Megatron alive. Megatron had previously been in a spacebridge explosion. When they saw him, Ratchet told Arcee that Megatron was the only hope Optimus had. Bee ended up entering his mind with the cortical physic patch and found the cure.", Raf explained.

"Brave bot. Anyway, Ratchet, Optimus and I were all walking near our base. We were joking around. I had called Optimus old, but wise and he glared at me claiming that he wasn't old. We got into talking about my creators and what happened to them. All of a sudden, I was shot. Thankfully, because I wore two sets of armor, I was unharmed. Optimus battled my attacker who turned out to be Megatron. After the warlord fled, Ratchet checked Optimus for injuries. I was pulled into an ally and brought aboard the Decepticon warship. I think Soundwave was the one that took me prisoner. When the Autobots found the ship a few days later, Megatron had Soundwave bridge me to a different location. I ended up getting stuck between two different groundbridges. The same thing that happened to you, happened to me. When I woke up, both sides were arguing over where I was. Megatron had his back to the bots though he watched them over his shoulder. Somehow, I ended up here.", I explained as we ran.

"So, you, Ratchet, and Optimus are like best friends?", Miko asked.

"We are. Optimus is like a brother. Megatron is my enemy.", I answered, "And Ratchet, well, he's like the older brother who's always there for you no matter how annoying you get. Even if he's working, he's always got an eye on you and an audio receptor on for anyone who needs to talk."

"That's not the Ratchet we know.", Jack said, "He's more grouchy. Ratchet usually spends a lot of his time working and yells at us - more specifically, Miko - if we're too loud."

"Huh. He never asked me to be quiet. In fact, he told me that he can focus more if I'm talking.", I responded.

We continued running and hid behind a rock. I looked back at Jack, Miko, and Raf only to find Raf missing.
