*Shoto Todoroki pov*_______________ (readers name) stiffened. She stares at the floor and I can hear her lightly tapping her feet.
"I..." ______________ (readers name) says shakily. "My parents are soulmates... That doesn't change the fact there getting a divorce. It doesn't change the fact the my mother let herself be manipulated by my father thinking that he loved her. He truly didn't. They might have got married but he never loved her sending her into a spiral of depression and anxiety attacks. It doesn't change the fact he fooled around with other ladies... Can't really call them ladies in my opinion..."
I stare at her realising how hurt she is on the inside. She turns away and stands up. _______________ (readers name) walks towards the door.
I pull on a pair of pajamas bottoms and manage to catch her before she goes outside.
She turns around looking slightly worried and angry. Tears are forming in her eyes.
I gently guide her in feeling the soulmarks forming on both of our skin. I gently close the door and pull her into a hug.
*Reader pov*
Suddenly Todoroki is hugging me and I can feel the years of tears I held back forming in my eyes. I can't cry. I have to be strong.
"It's okay," is all Todoroki says and I finally breakdown.
I hug him back as tears fall down my face. Once again I am ment to be looking after Todoroki but he's looking after me.
He passes me a tissue and I quickly let him go whipping away the tears. I realise my face and arms are all a blueish colour. I sigh.
"Do we always get soulmarks?" Todoroki asks. "I mean don't they stop forming on our skin."
"That only happens once both of the soulmates have fallen in love," I say. "It can also happen where only one soulmate has the marks. That means that the one without the soulmarks has fallen deeply in love with the other."
*Todoroki pov*
I look down at where I assume the marks to be. There not there! I can't tell weather to be happy or not.
I quickly pull on my pajama top and sit on the bed.
"I guess I am stuck here until the mark fades," ________________ (reader name) sighs looking worn out.
She sits on the floor with her back against the side of the bed.
"You know it's not your fault _______________ (reader nickname)," I say. "And hating it isn't going to stop it. It doesn't change what your father has done but you don't need to let it stop you." She looks up at me frowning. "Okay, if you were little, what did you want in your relationship with your soulmate? Don't say it out loud if you don't want to. Just think about it."
