Chapter 12

Dr.Bright P.O.V

I heard some quiet buzzing and some everyday sounds from I assume laboratories and corridors that were placed above below and all around me. I opened my eyes and slowly woke up, as I was sitting on my bed relaxing and listening to all of these sounds that were so typical in our foundation I felt butterflies in my stomach and a hot shiver went down my spine. This weird feeling. "I hope it is from after yesterday when 049 and I confess to each other" I half mumbled half thought this to myself. I turned my head to look at my desk as on the other side was just a wall. At first, my sight landed o the clock 8:34 am. "So it's probably from 049 right?" I asked myself as this cute little figurine of me caught my attention. I stood up and stretched my whole body. "uhh, I should go to work" I told myself and changed my clothes walking out of my office.

After some time I was sitting again in one of the biggest laboratory doing my job. Some scientist just as me were sitting in front of their computers some were signing some papers, others were walking thru the laboratory to get somewhere and of course, four MTFs were always standing in case of an emergency. I heard the sound of some message being sent to me and just as I was about to click on emails-

"Jack! How are you today?" asked Kondraki. I turned around and adjusted my glasses (I see well but I like to wear them while I do my work on screen) and smiled remembering how he helped me yesterday "I'm pretty well, thank you for asking me but umm what are you doing in here?" I asked curiously "Oh well I was going to 049 testing but I saw you and cuz there's some time left I just wanted to ask you, I saw how bad you felt yesterday..." I quickly looked away and on the message "Dr.Bright- blah blah blah- 049 tested with three D-class- blah blah blah- we hope you will be there" After reading the message I smiled and looked at Konny "I'm going with you" He seemed to be some kind of happy about this. "Let's go then it starts on 11 am so we have something about 23 minutes to get there" We both smiled and just kept on walking.

We finally reached the place. Big square room with a catwalk around it and big gla- I meant Venetian mirror cube in the middle. There were many scientist and Mtfs running around or sitting/standing where they had to, of course doing their work. As we sat in some chairs that were about 2 meters away from the glass- I meant Venetian mirror I saw three D-class boys standing somewhere on the opposite side of the room and Plague who was already in the room, some people were staring at him and writing down some things and some just made sure he still was on the inside not outside with them.

After maybe ten minutes the whole room went mostly silence and the light was turned off. The only light that was actually in this room was the one coming from 049 testing chamber. He looked at me and seemed to be somehow sad and confused. 'Of course, you ginger bastard, ya forgot he can see thru this god damn windo- Venetian mirror' I told myself 'Ayy I'm not 100% ginger' I then added to my own thought. I saw that the D-class was let in the room.

"Okay so what does he do, It'll eat us or rip our guts away?" asked one annoyed D-class. The intercom didn't say anything. "Ay ya weird freak will you kill us?!" shouted other D-class. I saw how hard it was for him not to kill them, I think the tried to impress me (and he did so). He looked at me again and shook his head no. All of a sudden these idiots started to laugh and they were swearing and making fun of MY LOVER. I tried to stand up but Kondraki quickly caught my arm and pulled me down onto my seat again. "I know you don't like people like this" he mumbled out to my ear which gave me the same hot shiver felling. After a little while, he sat down and took some book, that probably went thru everything, out from his endless bag and starts to read it.

Suddenly thick black goo starts to spill from the vents to which everyone quietly gasped and they started to point at it so others could see it. And of course, these pieces of horse shit were still laughing their asses of so they didn't notice. Everyone was now watching it as if some film that they knew some exciting moment will happen. This black goo finally was all in one piece and it quietly jumped down from the ceiling and onto the floor behind these fuckers. 049 quickly looked over at it and waved returning back to what he was reading before. Some white mask suddenly appeared on the now human shaped goo. "Scp-035," I said not too loud but not too quiet so everybody could hear it.

He smiles and forms long tentacles from the ground and ties them around now scared to death D-class shutting them up. He starts to squeeze them so hard that it looked like he wants to crush them alive. 049 looks up from his lecture and tilted his head at him. 035 then let go of them but they hit the floor so hard that one of them had now a big ass cut on his forehead and was bleeding. Of course, they were uncurious. Possessive Mask then turns in a pool of black goo or something that looks like his and 999 child and ties himself around 049. He sighs and pets him to which he then hides his mask and jumps right back in the vents.

The lights were turned back on and, oh boy, how loud it was. Everyone just had to say something about it. But it mostly looks like this after some testing so I wasn't surprised. "Oh! Jack I need to go, I got a message that I'm needed in one laboratory" He said and after quick hug ran away. I looked around and saw that 049 was taken away. "That's interesting" I mumbled out to myself and decided to go to his chamber.

After a little of walk, I finally reached it and went inside. There was no one around "good" I said and remembered plague can hear me. "O-oh dr.-emm Jack, sorry I'm still not used to his" He looked at me and then down clearly embarrassed "It's okay, and you did so well on the testing, I'm so proud of you!" After I said this I could see he was uncomfortable "T-thank you Jackie, and sorry but I'm kind of umm, you know, about yesterday" I warmly smiled "But I wanted to ask you about, well you know 035" He suddenly looked up at me "Don't worry sweetheart He's just my best SCP friend, but unfortunately he likes to tease everyone,heh you don't need to worry about anything like this you know, I love you..." A hot blush appeared on my face "and I love you even more..."
