Nico's POV

The woods were dark as always as I sat at the edge of Camp Half Blood. It was almost midnight, which was after curfew, but I honestly didn't care. It's not like anyone would care if a child of Hades went missing. No one cared about me. I sat there, alone, in the silence of the night. But not soon after the silence was broken.

I heard what sounded like a whooshing sound, and despite the fact it could be dangerous at this time of night, I followed the noise. It was hard to see anything in the midst of the darkness and shadows, but I could see the faint outline of what looked like a big blue...box. I hadn't noticed it before, but it couldn't have just appeared there. My natural instinct was to see what it was.

As I got closer to the box It took me a while to read the word 'Police box', and it looked like a phone box. And what surprised me was when a middle-aged man with a trench coat and converse walked out of it. I kept my hand near my sword in case of sudden danger. The man noticed me, but he didn't say anything. He looked around.

"Earth, New York, around 2014," was all he said, as though he was just realizing this. He had a British accent and looked as though he had just arrived here. I immediately didn't trust him.

"Who are you? How did you get here?" I asked almost automatically.

"I'm The Doctor," was all he said. No name, he just said 'The Doctor'.

"Doctor Who?" I asked, still keeping my sword near, just in case.

"Just The Doctor," he scratched his head and looked around. I trusted this guy even less. He was mysterious, and I had the feeling he wasn't human.

"I'm a Time lord," he said, probably noticing the confusion on my face.

"Time lord....Are you a child of Kronos?" I drew my sword. I could already tell he was trouble.

"No," he replied a little too casually "And who are you?"

I was a little hesitant but I answered anyways. "Nico. Nico di Angelo. Son of Hades." He looked confused but didn't question anything.

"Not human I'm assuming?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Not fully...and you?"

"Time lord" he answered again, which I had no idea what he meant. I eyed his blue box, which I had no idea how he had gotten it there.

"That's the Tardis," was his reply "Would you like to see it?" I ignored my doubts, or the fact he could be an axe murderer, and followed him inside.

Just like I had expected it wasn't what it seemed. Inside it was a lot bigger then it looked, and had a lot of complex machinery, that looked like something out of Leo's blueprints.

"It's...it's bigger on the inside," was all I was able to say, and The Doctor smiled.

"Nico di Angelo, wasn't it?" He said my name as I tried to figure out what this was, and who he was. A child of Hecate maybe.

"This is the TARDIS, and she travels. Through both time and space," the man said, and I wondered if he was crazy. "Would you like to see it work?" I was hesitant at first. And I knew my answer should have been no. He could be a murderer, and I knew he was trouble. But I already knew no one would really miss me if I were to disappear, and I had nothing to do here. I was alone, and from the looks of it, so was he. And a few seconds I gave my answer.

"Yes," I answered and he broke into a grin.
