[Chapter Seven: Confusing]
After dinner, Yana and Ice Bear sat outside on a blanket that was laid out for the two of them.
Panda and Grizz thought it'd be best to leave the two alone.. Obviously with no specific reason.
The two were just watching the stars in silence.
Was it too much for when she expressed how she missed Ice Bear and Yana's relationship?
She shook her head. Of course not, she knew that, but her mind still came up with 'what if's that made her a little weirded out. She rarely felt this way; she rarely questioned her actions. Usually she felt no regret or denial but apparently this was not one of those 'usual' moments.
Yana was so caught up in figuring out why her mind seemed to be a mess that she didn't even notice she was practically leaning onto the other. Ice Bear said no word, as always.
"I did mean it, Snezhnyy Mishka." Yana spoke as her eyes made way to find consolations in the beautiful sky.
Ice Bear gave a glance to Yana with a small smile, which Yana returned. There was an ever so small moment of silence that they did not know what to say at all.
"Ice Bear.. Appreciates it. " He managed to say.
Yana sighed, finding this complicated. They literally just started getting back on track, but this was far too soon to even let the idea cross her mind that something.. More could happen in their friendship.
"I know we never shared everything with each other," Yana began, sighing, "-but is there anything I should know?"
Still silence, something that was completely normal in their conversations. Except this time it hurt, ever so slightly.
"Does any of this mean anything in the end?" Her accent seemed thicken. She raised an eyebrow, at least willing to hear something, anything come from the bear's mouth.
Nothing.
Ice Bear couldn't completely open himself up. Not even before the incident that caused their separation.
"I should get going home.." Yana interrupted the horrid silence that was between them. Ice Bear frowned, understanding though, before nodding.
Yana got up to leave until she felt a tug at her arm. Ice Bear couldn't let her go just yet. "Huh?" She questioned.
Ice Bear let go of the woman's arm after he pulled her in for a hug.
They never really do this.
Yet, it seemed to be something that they both needed. "Ice Bear.. Is not ready." Is all the bear could say.
Yana gave a look of confusion before understanding. He wasn't ready to tell what was going on with him, or any secret for that matter. Maybe it was the late of night that allowed her to not feel mad towards that. She was tough, anyways.
"See you tomorrow." Was all the purpleish black haired girl could say, and left without question.
