I cut my alarm off. I started getting ready for work, I did my hygiene & put on my work clothes.

I went in CJ's room to wake him up so he could get ready to go to my mom's.

"You ready to go to Nana's?" I asked as I was washing his face & brushing his teeth. "YEAH!" CJ has down syndrome so he tends to be really loud sometimes.

"TELL HIM TO SHUT THE FUCK UP I'M TRYNA SLEEP! SHIT!" Cameron, my boyfriend & father of CJ yelled. "It ain't like yo ass got a job..." I mumbled. "What the fuck you say bitch?" He said coming into the room. "I said I sorry, he does have down syndrome. You already know he's going to be loud."

"Bitch! That ain't what you said & who the fuck you getting loud with?!" He said getting in my face. "No body." He smacked me & I hit the wall. "BITCH I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT SHIT!"

"MOMMY!" CJ cried running over to me as Cam continued to send blows to my face. Cam doesn't care, he does this in front of CJ all the time.

"Shut the fuck up & quit being a little pussy!" He yelled picking up CJ throwing him on the bed.

"Mommy!" By now I had been bleeding from my nose & I felt my eye start to swell up. I hate him so much sometimes.

"Why you still sitting there?! Get yo ugly ass up!" I tried to get up but I was weak. Cam pulled me by my hair & yanked me up. "Acting fucking stupid like you can't get up!" "Ouch! Cam! Please stop!" He threw me against the wall. I winced in pain."Quit fucking yelling! Giving me a damn headache!" He yelled rubbing his temples.

"Momma! Momma!" CJ yelled running over to me. "Shh, baby momma's okay." I kissed his cheek.

Cam came & kissed my cheek after I had got done changing my clothes & cleaning myself up because of the blood. "Baby I love you, you just make me so mad sometimes." I looked down, he lifted my chin. "Baby? I'm sorry...say you love me back." He whispered. "I love you too Cam but...it gotta stop!" I said as a single tear fell from my eye. "I'ma get help...I promise!" He said kissing my lips.

"See you later, I love you!" Cam waved at me & CJ as we walked to the car. CJ waved back. "Love you too" Me & CJ replied simultaneously.

I pulled up to my mom's 20 minutes later. I took CJ in the house. "Love you CJ. See you later mom" I said trying to walk off without her seeing my face. "Cynthia...did he put his hands on you again?" I looked down. "Yes mom but I'm fine! I gotta go, I'm already late." I said rushing out the door to my car. She continued to yell my name as I drove away.

I pulled up to my job, I work as a nurse. When I walked in as always Brandon was tryna talk to me...he is cute, he is light-skinned nice & buff, greenish-hazel eyes & plump pink lips. But I'm not interested. I know what I have at home & I'm loyal to him.

"Heyy Cynthia!" He said as he caught up to me. "Hi Brandon." He smiled. "When you gone let me take you out & show you how a real woman is supposed to be treated?" I sighed, as much as I wanted to go. My mind always drifted off to Cameron. "Brandon...we've been through this, I have a boyfriend so the answer is no!" He rolled his eyes. "I've told you time & time again...I'm just gonna keep asking until you say yes!"

I guess I could go with him, but only if we go as friends. It's not considered cheating if we go as friends so... "Alright, only if we go as friends." He smiles wide & shoes his pearly whites. "Deal!" He said kissing my hand, I blushed. "Call me later beautiful..." He said giving me a slip of paper. "I will" I smiled.

He walked away & I was about to get to work until I turned around & saw Cameron staring at me with this cold stare.

"So I came to bring yo rabbit ass some flowers & you flirting with that nigga?!" I felt fear kick in & I started shaking a little. "Cam...it wasn't like that!"
