"KRIS!" Kris' mom shouted. "Kris, if you don't get up right now you're going to walk to school because I REFUSE to be late!" She continues to shout as she walks to open the curtains to let the light shine through the red tinted window. Before she left the room she said, "I'll be outside but only for a bit. Hurry up."
Kris slowly got out of bed and rubbed their eyes. They looked around their room to see what has always been there. Rusted trophies, an old computer, cracked shelves ready to snap, and cobwebs on the side where their brother, Asriel, used to sleep before he went off to college. On their side of the room was only a busted red wagon that held a bent birdcage. Kris made their way towards the door and left the room. As they left their room they went straight down the stairs into the kitchen. They passed the bathroom and the favorite Chairiel to finally reach the front door. They opened the door and went down the steps to see their mother, Toriel, tapping her foot staring at them. Toriel hopped into the old rusty car and Kris followed soon after. Before Kris could buckle up Toriel started to drive.
It wasn't a long drive to the school but long enough to think about things. Most of what Kris thought of was about his brother, Asriel. Asriel was mean sometimes but he was a good brother. He was was still very caring and was there for Kris when their parents divorced. It was very lonely for Kris once Asriel left for college. But just six more days till he comes home.
They pull up to a beat up looking school and park the car. Toriel quickly gets out of the car and makes her way inside. Kris follows soon after as they walk inside the school. They walk down and stop at the intersection of the hall. Toriel turns around and begins to speak. "Kris. Don't get in any trouble today ok?" She said with an annoyed but slightly caring tone. Kris nods and Toriel ruffles his hair before heading off to her classroom. Kris then makes their way to their class.
