Part 2: The Quest For Chalk

Kris heads over to their classroom and opens the door. "So, does everyone have a..." Kris Walks into the class in the middle of their teacher's sentence. "Oh... Kr-Kris? Didn't think you would be coming today. Anyways we are doing group projects this month." Kris stands at the door for a bit.
"Uhhhhh... So, walk around and get with someone, g-got it?" Kris nods and walks over to Berdly.
"Heh. Late again I see. Heard you're in need of a partner. Sadly though I'm partner with the 2nd smartest student in the class. Though... maybe... if I think about it, Kris. Your unique skill set might provide much-needed help for this assignment." Kris smiles but the Berdly continues. "Pfffft, Not! Heh heh heh! I actually want an 'A'!" Kris stops smiling and walks over to Tem as Berdly chuckles to himself. "Krisp!!" Tem shouts.
"Awa... Ver sroz... Tem already have grate partner..." Tem pulls out a black and white egg. It seems to be hard boiled. Kris then moves over to Monster Kid.
"Yo, Kris! Get your butt here sooner next time! I ended up getting stuck with Snowy, haha.." Kris feels bad for Monster Kid. "He won't stop turning to me and saying 'Howdy, partner!' Like a cowboy..." Kris looks over to see Snowy making finger guns at him. Kris walks away from Snowy and heads over to Catty. She is on her phone tapping away for who knows what. She looks up with a dead look. "Taken." And points to Jockington behind her. Kris' last hope was Noelle. Kris walks over to Noelle hoping to have her as a partner.
"Hey, Kris. What's up? Didja lose another pencil? I have a candy cane one and one with lights on it." Kris shakes their head and tells her they need a partner. "Oh? You looking to be partners? Sorry, Kris's but Berdly is my partner." Kris friend for a second. "But I could ask Ms. Alphys if us three could pair up. I'll go ahead and ask if you're sure." Kris smiles and nods. "Miss Alphys! Could Kris pair up with us?" Berdly hears this and butts in.
"What? Heck no! I don't approve of this. Abort!!" Noelle seems confused by this.
"B-but Kris doesn't have a..."
"Noelle, what were you saying?" Alphys finally heard what was going on.
"She was just saying that we are FINE being all alone!" Berdly butts in again.
"A-Actually, I just wanted to know if..." As Noelle spoke it was hard to hear her.
"Noelle, can you PLEASE SPEAK UP?" Alphys said in an annoyed tone.
As Alphys finished speaking the door creaked open. Standing inside the doorway was a tall, purple, monster in ruffed up clothes.
"H... Hi Susie," Alphys said startled. Susie walked into the classroom and took her seat.
"Am I late?" Susie asked.
"A-a little but that's fine. W-we were just, uhhh... choosing partners for the next group project, and..." She looks at Kris. "Susie you're with Kris." Kris didn't like this idea.
"... Great."
"Well, now that everyone is finally here I'll w-write the assignment on the board." Alphys goes up to the board and goes to grab the chalk to realize that it was missing. "Umm... W-which one of you has last seen the chalk? This is the 3rd time it's gone missing, and..." Alphys seems nervous that everyone is so quiet. "Y-you all know I can't start class without it!" The room was filled with an awkward silence. "H-how about this? If no one speaks up... you all w-will get detention!" Everyone knew she was bluffing. "A... Anyone? P... Please?" Alphys was sweating a bit but then Noelle spoke up.
"There might be a box in the supply closet... Miss Alphys, why not send Susie and I..."
"G-good idea, Noelle!" Alphys cut Noelle. "Susie, since you were late... Why don't you go fetch some for me?"
"...Sure." Susie said as she got up from her desk and walked out the door.
"And... K-Kris... Can you go make sure she actually gets it? And you know... stays out of trouble?" Kris nods which seem to cheer Alphys up a bit. "Thanks, Kris! See you later."
Kris goes for the door and heads out into the hall.
