Joe POV
After what was a grate night most people were leaving the bar to go home it was around 3:00 in the morning. I called an Uber for me and Dianne I told her it was on its way I could tell I had had too many as per usual. So had Di I had never seen her drunk before. She was cute and funny she came over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck "come dance with me" she said in her cute accent, we walked over the the dance floor which was almost empty the only people left were the people who worked there and a few of the dancers. We saw Stacey and Kev run over to the dj the song changed and Rainbow Connection came on which was the song to one of it dances from strictly. I spun her round and pulled her in we were both smiling we did as much of the choreography as we could remember as it was a while ago and we were both drunk. The song ended and we stared into each other's eyes. Wooooo every one cheered and not long after left we went out side and got into out Uber.
Dianne POV
I asked joe to come dance with me before the Uber arrived Stacey and Kevin put Rainbow Connection on and we danced smiling the whole time. I was gong to tell him it was like no one else was in the room until "wooo" people cheered. We just smiled and got into our Uber.
Once we were on our way home I checked my phone there was a message from Anthony my ex. We ended thing a few months back as things weren't really working out. It was an aggressive message "I knew this would happen, you would go off with that prick. Well you were never good enough anyway I don't know why I ever liked you" I couldn't read on at this point I had tears in my eyes I didn't want to be alone tonight I looked up at joe, he stared back down at me with his sparkling blue eyes. He saw I had been crying "what's wrong" nothing I said wiping my face I'm fine I'm just being stupid. He knew there was something wrong he embraces me for a hug and stroked my arm " you know you can tell me if there is something wrong" I knew I could trust him so I showed him the text. I rage of anger came over joe he looked so mad,upset and became very protective of me. He took my hand and told me I was amazing that he loved me and that Anthony was not worth any of my time and that letting go of me was the worst thing he ever did " I don't know how anyone could be mad, annoyed or say those things to you Di your amazing and beautiful" this just made me love him more joe took my phone and deleted Anthony's number. He smiled at me we had reached my apartment but joe told the driver to go straight to his, do you want to stay at mine tonight I smiled and nodded my head placing it back on his shoulder. I was so happy.
