"I still can't believe we're all here together," Jess had been jumping back and forth since we all got our acceptance letters for Kingsley.

I spent nearly my entire summer with these idiots, and now I've got to spend the next three years with them.

There's no escape.

"Vicky what happened to Evan?" Zoey's question got all our heads turning, everyone's focus was now on Vicky's reply.

"You'll all be so happy to know it's over," her expression looks almost hurt at our relief.

"We've heard that before," I simply grunt rolling my eyes.

Evan. The dickhead Vicky spent her two years of A-levels running around after. I can't hold my hands up and say I've never not been guilty of messing with a girls head, but never to the extent Evan has. He used to tell girls what they wanted to hear, and once he had them wrapped around his finger, he knew he could do anything. How many times Vic's cried over that lad, or worried if he was with another girl, was actually forty percent of our groups drama.

"It is this time," Vicky looks towards me, eyes slanted and a firm frown crossing her face. I just look away, not igniting anymore fuel to that ticking time bomb. "I've moved on anyways," from the shock of Tony's face, I knew it wasn't with him.

I don't think the girls and Drew knew about Tony and Vicky's antics over the summer, but I've had the full run down from him. Vicky's actually a decent girl when you get passed the bitchy remarks, high sex drive and lack of common sense, if anything she uses all that to hide how she really is.

I know she's gotten with Drew and Tony, tried to get with me, but we've only shared a couple drunken kisses.

Vicky's only long term relationship was with Evan, so that's probably why it hurt so much to find out every web he'd ever spun her was a lie.

I can honestly say I've never loved anyone. Comparing myself to this group, I guess that'd make me the freak. Even in love there is betrayal yet the mechanism to turn it into hatred fails, as apparently love fixes all.

"Who's coming back for a few drinks?" Vicky looks at us all whilst standing to put her coat on.

-

"Guys be quiet I don't want to piss off Ember on her first night," Vicky gave us all the look a mother would to her ill behaved child.

Which automatically stopped our loud laughing.

"Who's Ember?" Zoey looked around the flat, as if anticipating the girl to come out on queue.

"She's my new roommate" Vicky sits down on the sofa where Zoey and Tony follow, leaving us to sit on the floor.

"She hot?" Drew looks at me raising his eyebrows, I give him a clear eye roll back.

"Let's be honest, with me here you don't stand a chance," Tony smirks at his own conceited remark, whilst Vicks smile drops dramatically.

A cloud of fog emerges from the middle door at the back of the room, catching my full attention.

An interesting sight emerged from the cloudy mist. Out walked a girl with a thin towel wrapped tightly around her body, showing off every bump and curve her body held. Her ivory shoulders were exposed and her brown, waved hair fell down her back. Her lips were plump, carefully tinted red and her skin would be as pale as her body, if it were not for her cheeks that stood out as much as her lips did. Her dark eyes didn't shine like twin moons or drown admirers hearts in a deep blue ocean, yet captivated you into something more sinister. Her eyes hinted at a story, that I wanted to read right through.

"Hey Em, come here I want to introduce you to these dickheads," Vick laughed at her not so funny insult, and we all awaited for the girl to respond.

She walks over unsure, her bare feet were reluctant but her body seemed to push her forward. Holding the towel even tighter between her fingers only made her boobs push up further.

"Ember this is Zoey," I catch Vicky point to Zoey in the corner of my eye, but I'm too entranced by the bigger picture.

"Hey," I was closer with Zoey out of all the girls, so I knew that reply must have felt almost pushed.

Zoey doesn't open up to strangers, not like Jess and Vick do.

Ember smiles back, moving her eyes back to Vicky as quickly as they left.

"This is Tony, but you met him already this morning," Vicky had just let slip her and Tony's antics, but by their expressions they couldn't care less.

"Tone you didn't go back there," Drew shakes his head in disappointment, whilst letting out a laugh.

"Shut up man you know how Vick can be like, she's very persuasive," Tone laughs off what is defiantly a lie.

"Oh yeah of course, Tony if I remember correctly weren't you begging," and Vicky happily exposes him straight away.

"Okay moving on before all this kicks off," of course Jess tries to resolve any problems that were about to arise. "Hey I'm Jessica, just call me Jess though," she smiles at Ember, which seems to relax her from her tense stance. "This is Drew and this is Hero" she points at Drew and then me, her eyes only skim me for a second. A second I wish would have lasted longer, but Vicky had to distract her, "Em why don't you go get dressed and come hang with us."

"Yeah alright I'll be a minute" were her short words, she walked away as Tony made a comment about her being naked.

Just Tony being Tony.
