The girl was crying. She was deep in her sorrowful thoughts. What is life? Why did she live in the first place? Why did god made her stay alive when she could just die? Suicidal thoughts were running down her mind in a fast trick of light.
Everyday she questioned, why am I even alive?
What's the point of living when she doesn't have anyone to love or who loved?
Every day she would wake up to the same shouts of her parents, go to school meeting so many hateful and disgusted eyes, going back home to hear more shouts and glass shatters.
Back then, she had a guy to comfort her, a guy to hug her, a guy to kiss her, a guy to accompany her, a guy to take care of her, a guy who tells her sweet soothing words,
A guy who loves her.
But that guy now is gone. Instead, he found another girl whom he could share his love to. Sohye wasn't made at Chaeyoung, nor Felix. Instead, she was mad at herself for changing everything.
Sohye and Felix's depart wasn't pretty. She had to move from Korea to Sydney. In her case, her parents were having problems so they had to send her out.
Sohye didn't want it, nor did Felix. It was a very heartbreaking departure. So from then on, Felix swore to forget her. He swore to never remember a single piece of her again.
Why?
Because from the day she left, he also had no one. On his past days, Sohye would be the only one who can shower him with love and make him feel like he wasn't alone.
His parents would always be at work and his sisters barely have time for family because of their boyfriends. He felt alone, but Sohye changed that.
But because she was gone, he did feel like he wanted to die or come with her. But he knew he couldn't. Thanks to God, he found a group of friends that would love him as much as Sohye, a month after she left.
It has been 4 years since that time and surprisingly, she came back to Korea. She had felt anxious to meet her family and maybe Felix. She had expected her parents to be done with their problem but when she came home, she was greeted with shouts. Again.
When she took a step in, her parents didn't even take a single glance at her. All she did was ran to the garden, hoping that Felix would be there, still waiting.
But who is she to imagine that?
After that 4 years, Felix tried very hard to forget Sohye. Close, he hated her for leaving him like that. But he can't help but still have feelings for the girl that was long gone.
He use his friends to move on, and dated other girls for when she was gone. She found finally the perfect girl. Despite the fact that other girls hates her new girlfriend, he treated her the same way as Sohye.
Sweet, kind, loyal.
But he got creeped out when someone gave him a letter. The first letter. After that day, he didn't receive another one, which he was surprisingly disappointed about. But after school, he bumped in to the janitor who was carrying an envelope.
He assumed,
He hoped,
That somehow the letter had something to do with the letter he received before. And guess what? He was correct. He kept bumping in to the Janitor to recive the letter every day,after school. Without realizing, he kept all the letters and felt pity for the anonymous' un-gained love.
Stupidly, he didn't ask the janitor which table he found the letters from. He was about to the next day, but he found one in his cubbyhole. And after school, he didn't find the janitor.
He really wanted to know who the girl was. Why? Because she really reminded her of Sohye. The girl he really wanted to forget. But he wats to know, who wrote these letters and acts like she knows him?
For all his life, he never knew somekne who could relate to the words inside the letters.
And that's what Felix didn't know.
Sohye unexpectedly became closer to Seungmin, to the point that he knew everything. He knew from the start of their story, to the letters, to the flower and the garden, to the girl.
He did felt pity, but he somehow just has this feeling that he should help her at all times. Though, there were no romantic feelings involved. He wonders why Felix was too dumb to notice.
One time, Felix came to him because the letter had his name said. But Seungmin pretended and lied, like he didn't knew about anything.
He's doing this,
For the sake of her.
While Sohye, she never knew when exactly she would take off her mask. To stand in front of Felix and say all the truth untold. But she lost it all. She lost it.
That day was Valentines day. She saw, by the crowded hallways and lockers, Felix handing a whole bouquet of flowers and a giant teddy bear to Jeon Chaeyoung.
Indeed, she was too late. There was no way Felix is going to notice her now. How much empathy and feelings he shared to Chaeyoung made her realize, Felix is never going to notice her.
Maybe she should just...go.
Seungmin, who was right bedside her at all times, heard when she mumbled,
"Maybe back then If I had just a little more Courage And stood before you Would everything be different now?"
