It was officially the first day of the mating season, Mephisto was sure of that. He already felt uncomfortable and hot, even in his pink yukata, and apparently Amaimon felt the same way since he refused to wear his own clothes. Mephisto wasn't happy that the green haired demon was wearing his purple yukata but didn't feel like arguing. Currently the two were playing one of his video games and eating junk food, both trying to ignore the slightly uncomfortable tension in the air. This is rather odd though, Mephisto thought, I usually don't feel any different until the second or third day. The fact that it just barely started and I can already tell..well, I'm sure it's nothing.

"I'm bored." Amaimon said as he lost for the fifth time that day. Mephisto couldn't help but agree, this was pretty boring.

"What do you suggest we do then?" Mephisto asked, open to any ideas from his little brother. He really wasn't sure what they could do.

"Go outside." Amaimon said, giving Mephisto a slightly annoyed look. The older demon scoffed, surprised that his usually calm brother was already acting different. I wonder if he feels it too? Or is it just me?

"You know we can't do that. There's no way I'm taking the barriers down, so you're stuck in here with me."

"But it's so boring, and being trapped in here makes me feel weird. How can you do this every century?" Amaimon asked as he chomped down on the piece of candy in his mouth, effectively shattering it.

"It's just one week out of an entire century. I'd rather be bored than mate with some demon I don't even care about." Mephisto grumbled, wishing he wouldn't have forgot about Amaimon living with him. Dealing with boredom on his own was one thing, but dealing with a bored Amaimon was entirely different.

"You really are weird." Amaimon muttered, stiffening as Mephisto glared murderously at him.

"The hormones must be getting to your head, little brother. If I didn't know better I'd say you just insulted me. But that couldn't be right, now could it? You would never insult your dear older brother, would you?" Mephisto asked, grinning at his brother in a way that would make small children cry.

"O-of course not. I would never do that." Amaimon replied, his stoic mask slipping for just a second. Mephisto smirked at how easy it was to scare the Earth King.

"Good. I won't have to punish you then. Now if you're so bored why don't you think of something we can actually do? We have been playing all day, I can't blame you for getting tired of losing." Mephisto said, watching as Amaimon bit his tongue to keep from saying anything else that could potentially get him killed.

"Is there anything good on tv?" He asked hopefully, watching as the purple haired demon flipped through channels, eventually landing on an anime.

"Just this, but I've seen it already."

"Oh..well, do you have any paperwork you need help with?"

"You really are desperate, aren't you?" Mephisto asked, sighing as Amaimon shook his head yes. "I suppose you could help me. Just don't tear anything up with those nails of yours."

"Yes big brother.

Luckily enough, doing paperwork took up the rest of the day, and they managed to finish everything Mephisto needed done. Unfortunately now they were back to square one with nothing to do. So they went back to playing games until it was time for bed. Mephisto, having already showered that morning, brushed his teeth and was ready to go to sleep. Amaimon however did not shower that day and didn't want to. This didn't go unnoticed by Mephisto.

"Amaimon, go take a shower. I won't be locked up with a filthy demon." Mephisto said, pointing to the bathroom door.

"But brother, you won't have to smell me, I sleep on the couch." He replied, pointing in the opposite direction towards the living room/office.

"Yes, but I don't want that couch smelling like a rat slept on it. Besides, if I don't make you shower you'll go this entire week without doing so, and trust me when I say I will smell you. Now go shower before I make you." He said, jabbing a finger towards the bathroom again.

"How can you make me?" Amaimon asked, mentally slapping himself for defying his brother. The hormones really were making him act different.

"I can control time and space itself, in case you forgot. All I need to do is stop time and throw your disobedient little self into that bathroom and lock the door so you can't come out. Or do I need to do something more drastic?" He asked, a threatening undertone in his voice. Amaimon didn't need to be told again.

"No, I'll be good, sorry brother." Amaimon gulped, quickly racing off into the bathroom and closing the door. Mephisto shook his head and finally got comfortable in his oversized bed, wondering how tomorrow would go. He knew it would only get worse, but couldn't help but wonder how it would affect Amaimon. Hopefully he won't get more bratty, he grumbled in his head. Just as that thought crossed his mind the bathroom door opened and Amaimon walked out, his hair still dripping wet. Mephisto felt a tick mark pop up on his forehead.

"Amaimon, dry your hair for Satan's sake. You'll get water all over my yukata and couch." He said, watching as his brother went back into the bathroom to retrieve a towel. Not a second later he came back out, hair still wet, and Mephisto realized he had to do everything.

"Bring the towel and yourself over here, you incompetent little demon." He grumbled, scooting over so his brother could sit down. He then sat up and began rubbing the towel over his brothers green hair, shaking all of the water out. As he did this, Amaimon felt himself getting sleepy, and slowly leaned back towards Mephisto. Getting his scalp rubbed just felt too good.

"Oi, I'm not a pillow. Sit up Amaimon." Mephisto said, growling as a fluffy green tail was suddenly flicking around in his face. "And control your tail! What are you, a dog?"

"Sorry brother, it just feels good. You're making me tired." Amaimon muttered, his eyes drooping.

"Well your bed isn't here, so stay awake."

"Why can't I sleep here? It's more comfortable, and your bed is big enough for more than two people."

"Absolutely not! You'll drool all over my pillows!" Mephisto yelled, yanking his brothers hair. Amaimon glanced over his shoulder and pouted at his brother, doing his best impression of puppy dog eyes. "Oh no, don't even try it. You're not sleeping in my bed and that's final."

"I promise I'll be good." He said, lip jutting out even more. Mephisto felt his resolve crumble. "Please?"

"Damn you and that face, Amaimon. Fine. But if you keep me awake I'll literally kick you out." He said, reluctantly moving to the other side of his bed so Amaimon could lay down.

"Thank you brother. You're too kind." Amaimon said, already drifting off into sleep. Mephisto rolled his eyes.

"Be quiet, you little smart ass."
