To: you, who hums the melody of the radio, faintly.

She took a sigh.

I tend to look straight as this road is not as crowded as you thought it would be.

"What is it? Tell me Jen."

"I don't know... Maybe, it's just... never mind. Just keep driving. We're almost catching up with Lisa."

"Ah okay. I wonder why we're late tho." I said with a little smirk.

"Ya, come on, you know I'm not fine with milk in the morning."

She starts to use her cute, well maybe not so cute voice.

"Then don't blame me. What are you going to say earlier?" I'm starting to get sleepy because of the long drive.

She then proceeds to say uhm-s and springing back and forth on her seat.

"If you're not comfortable because what Lisa said last night, please remind yourself that she said it as a joke." I said, carefully.

She glares into my eyes.
I can feel the fire.
I want to slow the car down and talk to her eyes to eyes but in this scorching heat, we both agreed to not stop the car unless we're back at her home.

"Come on, Jen. I know you're giving me that look. Just tell me already."

A moment of silence, except the radio playing Melted by AKMU.

"So, you don't secretly having a crush on me?"

I gulped.

I took a glance at her.

I gulped again.

"Believe me, you're taking her words too seriously. I never said anything close to that." or I just don't want to let the denial go.

She just hums. A bitter aftertaste on her question made her flustered.

"I know it's stupid that you'll ever like me right?"

She starts to laugh. That killer laugh.

I honestly don't know what to reply to that. So I just laugh along.

Then dead silent.

"So it's actually stupid huh."

Oh, shit.
It might come out worse but hey it's only now or never, I guess.

So, I slow down the car, take a left turn and enter a rest area.

"No, it's not. It's just a bit funny, you saying it."

"Why?"

"Because you are stupid...

So, I just continue to park. Just say I'm going to restroom anyway.

"So, it's not stupid?"

I just smile at her, shaking my head.
