My hand instinctively closes the gap between Rami and I.

"What, are you doing?" I ask, even though it was very clear what was about to happen. A tinge of pink covers his cheeks. He knows he fucked up. "You know what? I think I'm gonna go home. See ya later."

I spin around and head toward the door, nearly making eye contact with Fandango on my way out.

What a fucking pig.

---x---

I return home, around quarter til 1, only to find Carlos passed out on the couch with no sign of Ace. I check my phone to see 2 missed messages from Lexi.

From Lexi: Couldn't find you before I left but I'm in the passenger seat of Buddy Murphy's car right now so don't look for me lol

From Lexi: also your brother and his trash got into a fight I think. Fair warning

Of course. Part of me wants to call Leah and make sure everything's okay, but the other part knows that nothing is okay and I'll probably get the cold shoulder from Ace for the next two weeks anyway.

I take off my shoes and step in my bedroom, glancing at the small, half-packed suitcase in the corner of the room. I'm not making my debut next week, but I've been invited to go to the show on Monday. Lexi and I were supposed to road trip to Texas tomorrow morning, but I have high doubts that it's going to happen. I might as well just fly by myself.

By myself. That's what I really want. I have to debut as part of a tag team, which I never wanted. I'm thankful that it's with one of my best friends, but honestly? She holds me back. We also made an arrangement to room together when we're on the road. Which is the opposite of what I wanted. I was actually planning on getting my own place before this whole Raw debut business started. That's gone down the drain.

Even if the two of us won't be on every single show and I get time to go home, I'm still probably going to be stuck with a roommate.

I've been lonely for the last 3 years, and now all of the sudden I'm surrounded by people and want to be alone again.

The light from my phone illuminates the room, once again.

From Rami: Home?

My eyes nearly roll to the back of my head in response. Honestly, the last person I want to see right now.

That's a lie. The last person I would want to see right now would be Colby. Or, Fandango.

From Rami: Did you ever read the note?

What the hell is he talking ab-

My eyes trail up to the framed photo on the wall next to my bed.

"Don't read it now. But when you get a free chance."

I turn my bedside lamp on before grabbing the frame and popping the back off. There's a folded pink paper taped to the back of the photo.

"This is guaranteed to be the cheesiest thing you've ever read in your life."

I only get a chance to read the first sentence before there's a knock on my door. I quickly fold the paper back up and shove it in the table's drawer.

The door cracks open, "You decent?" Carlos asks, before popping his head in.

"Yeah."

"I was gonna tell you that Lexi left wi-"

"Murphy. I know. She told me."

"Sorry, I tried to stay close. Ace and some big ass dude got into it over Leah or something and I had to get him out of there."

Ace is fighting over Leah now? He seriously needs to keep work out of his love life, seriously.

"So, where is he?"

"He just got home. A few minutes after you. Probably asleep now. You should talk to him in the morning."

I should talk to him? Leave it to Kitty to clean up the mess, yet again.
