Jungkooks feelings of romance and thirst for love overwhelmed him. The face he had been entranced by would be arriving at a party this night. To his companions, he seemed frozen in time. Slowly, a smile crept upon his stone face.
"Seokjin, Jimin, my boys," he began while excogitating a well-meaning plan. He put his arms over his two companions' shoulders and nudged them playfully. "How do you feel about attending a party tonight?" He questioned. The two men made eye contact and nodded in agreement with the leader's idea.

Jungkook was brought up in an extremely wealthy family, the Montagues. His family, for whatever reason, constantly clashed with another household in the city, the Capulets. The Leader of their city, Taehyung, has constantly threatened each family that if another altercation came about, a heavy penalty would look upon each side of the clash. This deeply stiffened Jungkook as he wanted no trouble for anyone. He was a fairly peaceful individual but only fought when it became defense or revenge. Min Yoongi, on the other hand, was a Capulet who strived on the idea of violence. He would seek out every chance to fight a Montague and was extremely skillful with a handgun. He was the one who constantly began said brawls. In truth, he commenced a brawl just yesterday with Jungkook's good men Seokjin and Jimin. Taehyung was the individual which forced them apart, for fear of losing one of either side. Taehyung was somewhat related to Seokjin, making the relationship extremely complicated. Seokjin was also related closely to a count named Hoseok. Hoseok was an extremely popular and charming person and made many girls swoon over him. But Jungkook didn't pay much mind to him. Jimin, another of Jungkook's closest mates, was extremely peaceful. He did not enjoy fighting whatsoever and was the one to call out violence and pull the two combatants apart. He and Jungkook were extremely close. Seokjin, Jimin, and Jungkook were the three that seemed inseparable, but their social statuses were anything but equal. Jungkook was the son of Jisung Montague, one of the highest tiers on the social tower, making Jungkook the next tier lower on the spectrum. Seokjin and Jimin were fairly lower. Jimin was Jungkook's cousin. They grew up together and spent many hours simply talking and dramatizing situations. Seokjin was simply Jungkook's close friend whom he's spent many years of his life with. Jungkook wouldn't trade either of them for anything in the world and enjoyed his time spent with each of them. They did everything together. Everything, including what Jungkook was planning deliberately in his head.

____________

"Y/n!" Your mother shouted at you from downstairs. You lazily leaned up from your comfortable position in your bed to sit in an upright position. A yawn crept up your throat and escaped your mouth. "Y/n!" She repeated louder and sterner than before. "Yah! I'm coming!" You shout in return towards her. You threw on an oversized sweatshirt and ripped jeans and ran out your door to stumble upon your mother. She bustled around the kitchen, throwing plates on placemats and pots in the oven. You quietly sat down and she swiftly placed a plate of breakfast in front of you. After consuming it vigorously, you dashed around the house in search of your backpack. When you finally found it beneath a pile of clothes, you swung it over your shoulders and your mother rushed you into the car. You grabbed your Shakespeare book on the way out and slipped it in your backpack.

On the long and vigorous drive to your high school, you pulled out your book and began reading it. Shakespeare has always been intriguing to you. The language they spoke in, though you didn't understand half of it, had entranced you. "What a weirdo" other kids would say. "Who reads Shakespeare anyway?" The preppy girls are your high school enjoyed poking fun at you. Your mother assured you they were just jealous. Jealous of your looks, brain, and heart. You knew it was bullshit, but you said okay anyways as you didn't enjoy when she would elaborate and explain everything that was good about you. You were ripped from your thoughts as your mom skidded to a stop at the roundabout. Students bustled out of their cars in front of and behind you as you slid your book back into your bag. "Have an amazing day!" Your mother said cheerfully as you opened the door. You slid out of the back seat and pulled your shorts down, covering more of your legs. Walking into school was the worst feeling in the world. Eight hours of sitting and listening to some old person ramble about maths or biology. You walk through the front glass doors of the dreaded place and kept your eyes pointed towards the floor as to avoid attention. You looked up for a second as to check that you were going the right way and find yourself staring at someone. Someone specific. It was him. The boy you had liked since fourth grade when he was your reading partner. Jungkook. You knew you shouldn't like him. He was from the family that yours hated the most. Your father, Hangjin Capulet, owned one of the largest companies in the world. He had decided to move to Busan on a whim. Little did he know that his companies worst competitor, Jisung Montague, resides in the same town. This caused loads of drama; at school and at home. But you had always liked the Montague family. At least, Jungkook. You had only seen his father a few times and he didn't seem like the most tolerable human being.

You shook yourself free from your thoughts and noticed the book Jungkook was holding in his hands. Othello by Shakespeare! Your heart soared through the roof and you couldn't help but smile. He looked up from reading and locked eyes with you. A grin lept upon his face at meeting your glance, but you shoved your feelings for him down into your gut and returned your eyes to the floor. Stop being obvious, that's a stupid thing to do. You repeated this phrase to yourself every day. It was so hard having a crush on someone you weren't even supposed to tolerate. But here you were.

_____________

a/n so at first, this was going to be exactly like the play, but I got bored with that so I'm making it like a modern day twist. Is that okay or did you like the other plan better? Anyways, I'm also going to make it easier to understand because Elizabethan is hard sometimes. I really hope you enjoy this story and how it progresses! Comment any tips or ideas for future chapters <3
