Chapter 1
My feet slapped across the pavement as I ran. And ran. And ran.
I checked my watch. Two more minutes!
I ran faster. I ran up the steps and was about to reach my destination when BAM! I hit something- or rather someone- and fell to the ground.
"I'm so sorry!" I yelped.
"It's okay." The guy chuckled, helping me up.
"You the new student?" He asked me.
"That obvious?" I laughed.
"Yeah." He laughed. "What's your name, new student?"
"Citlali."
"Cute. I'm Joseph. Do you know around the school?" he asked me.
"Uh- no. But I"m sure I can find my way around." i shrugged.
"Meet me here during lunch. I'll show you around." he said. " Anyways, I have to run off. I'll see you at lunch!"
"Wait! You don't have to!" I called off after him.
"No. I don't. But I want to." he winked at me and turned the corner.

At lunch, I went to the exact spot that I met him at and saw him waiting for me.
"Hey. You came." he smiled.
"Well, I couldn't keep you waiting."
We walked together around the school and I got to know him a bit more. He was the heir of many hotel branches in America alone.
"Do you want to meet up after school?" he asked me, suddenly.
"Uhuh. I'm not so sure."
"Why?" he asked me.
"I have work." "What kind of work?" "A part time job."
"Well, I"m sure you can skip for one day."
"OKay." I said, slowly.
"Great. But I might be a little late because I have to check on something so go in first. My password is 0000."
"Okay."

After school, I went to the address that Joseph texted me that day when he gave me his number. I walked up to the door of the huge mansion that he calls his house and slid open the passcode machine. I punched in 0 four times and the door unlocked. I closed the lid of the passcode machine and opened the door. I walked in and viewed the place. It was huge! I looked around and set my backpack on the couch. I went into the kitchen and got myself a glass of water. Then, I heard the door unlocking and opening.
"You're back already? So soon?" I called out to Joseph.
When I heard no answer, I walked out to the living room when I saw a girl walk in.
"Who are you?" I asked her.
"I should be asking you that question. Who are you and what are you doing in my fiancee's house?" she asked me, snobbily. (Heirs)
