Just a Hike

"Hey dad can i have the car for a few hours?" i asked hoping he would say yes.

"Why do you need it?" he asked waiting for my reply

"I am going out with some of my friends." he looked at me..

"You mean you are gong  out with Shirea and her friends or your going out with Nick?"

i glared at him.. "Dad i am going with both." he smiled at me

"Fine you can go but.. i am taking you also 9:00pm is your curfew"

i smiled him.. i grabbed my hat and put it on.. i walked over to tiny and i fed him and watered him. then we left. Nick had sent me some directions.

SKIP DRIVING

finally dad pulled up to a "CLIFF?"

i said looking around. dad smiled "well good by honey" i got out of the car and he left.

Nick came up from behind me

"Boo" he yelled

"HOLY SHIT !!!!!!" i said jumping.

he laughed... "That's a hella good reaction"

i gave him a little nudge in the arm playing around.

"Soooo Nick what are we doing???" i asked looking at his eyes.

"Um Hiking"........ he said looking at the cliff.

i kept looking at him at him for some odd reason i mean he was so cute....

"Soooo we are hiking up that trail???" i asked in a nervous tone

he nodded " yep not scared of heights are ya?"

i shook my head no because it was true i was not afraid of heights.

he smiled "ready?" i laughed " yeah i have been waiting."

he laughed we then started to walk.. it felt like we walked for ever. in 5 minutes my legs felt like they had heavy weights on them... me and him sat down to take a break.

" wow the scene is so beautiful." i said looking at my surroundings.

He smiled " yeah any views like this in Ohio?"

i smiled " yes there was but this is very beautiful"i said leaning back on the rock we were sitting on.

he laughed. " your funny.." i smiled we then got up and walked more.. soon we turned around and walked back to his car. we then grabbed something to eat

we sat down outside. i ordered a burger and fries and he orders chicken fried sandwich it was huge.

i grabbed my phone.. and he looked at me 

"What ya doing there?"

i laughed "taking a picture smile."

he laughed fine

Now i would of not considered that a date more like just two friends having fun.

later we were done eating it started to get a little dark... and cold.. he put a sweater one luckily i already had one on

we went back to his car and i grabbed my phone out again..

" seriously why are you taking pictures i am not th----" i cut him off with a big flash in his eyes.

"Ouch?"  we both laughed.. i got a real good picture

he than drove me home... I could see my dads face in the window..

i got out of the car and went inside..

"I thought you were with Shirea?" he said with a mad voice.

"Dad she said she did not feel goo because i text her after the hike!." i said raising my voice.

"Maddi! i don't think you should be around guys right now!" he yelled.

"Well dad why not! i mean i am almost 18 and we are just friends!" 

he laughed in a sarcastic tone. " your lying i bet you went on a date! he yelled

" It was just a hike maybe i should just go back to Ohio!" i yelled back

he looked at me and shook his head " Listen Maddi you should not have a boyfriend until your better."

i looked at him with anger "DAD! i mean just because i had or have cancer dose not mean i can't live! "  i yelled going up to my room

I mean did my dad not know that we were friends not... dating or boyfriend and girlfriend.
