Same Old Thing

I have been walking these streets for as long as I can remember. I'm so tired of them. The same dim lights, cracked roads, and people. I've been thinking about leaving this town ever since I learned how to take the bus. I know the bus seems cheap to you or something but it's all I have. My family doesn't have a car, they said since we live in such a small town we wouldn't need one within our whole life time. When they told me that I left the house for a whole week. They didn't seem to care, so I figured why not just leave and never come back to this shit town.

I had money saved up over the year so I wouldn't need to worry about that. I don't know where I'm going but it will be better, at least I hope. I left the house without saying a word and I had hope, I truly did. I waited for the bus. I was cold, my nose was runny and my hands were frozen due to the fact that I had to wait a good 20 minutes for the bus, and it was around 10:45 pm. There was a boy on the bus with a black book bag. It was around eleven at night, so I was suspicious. At first it was probably weird to him but I went up to him and asked where he was going and he said he wasn't sure yet. He was cute I have to admit. His name was Sebastian hair was so black it looked purple in certain lighting, his eyes were honey colored, and his smile was crooked but that was the cute part. He told me that he also left his home. Which is a crazy coincidence if you tell me. The bus took us to another town called Holy City, i'm not sure how far it was from my hometown but I was on the bus for a good 4 hours. We ended up renting a hotel for the night and it was cheap for such a nice hotel. Yea you might be thinking, "Why would you stay the night with him if you just met him?" I mean hopefully he doesn't kill me, right?

I woke up at around 12 in the afternoon the next morning and he was gone. Now as you can imagine I started to panic a little bit because what if he took my money or my phone... well he didn't, he came back into the room saying he went to go get some food. He didn't bring me anything which sucked because I didn't want to use my money but it is what it is. We were getting ready to leave the hotel but the receptionist wasn't there. We rang the bell multiple times but they still didn't come. So I just decided to walk out, this might seem rude to you but I stole some money. I think I needed it more than them at the moment. Sebastian and I were walking for a good hour until we noticed nothing was around us. No cars, people, or animals it was just us. Why isn't there anyone here? Why is this happening? My body feels weird. Was I drugged? I thought to myself. I turned to look at Sebastian but he seemed more scared than I did.

I had the sudden thought of us needing to run and that we were in danger, I grabbed Sebastian's hand and began to run. He then began to scream, I laughed a little because he sounded like a girl, but as I looked back to see what he was screaming about I saw the most terrifying thing anyone could think of. I think the monster formed into what your fear was because I asked Sebastian what it was he was seeing and he said it was a clown with blood dripping down its teeth and heard children screaming from its mouth as it opened to eat us. I saw something way different. It was a black shadow, you could see its yellow tinted sharp teeth with blood dripping from them, its eyes were dead point in mine and I could hear a voice. I'm not sure if I was imagining it or if that thing was saying it but I heard it and I hated it. We ran into an alley hoping we would see someone and tell them to help us, but no one was around.

As we were in the alley Sebastian started to panic even harder than what he already was. "Sebastian calm down dude, we are fine for now. We need to find a car and get out of this town quickly!"," How are we going to find a car? Can you even drive?", said sebastian as he grabbed his chest gasping for air. "Well I mean I think I can drive. I mean it's not like anyone is going to say anything, there is no one here. It's either you run out of this town alone, or we hijack a car and you come with me. That simple.", you don't understand how hard it was trying not to scream that I mean it's common sense, wouldn't you rather leave than be eaten by that scary ass monster? Sebastian and I snuck out of the alley onto the street because there was a black Honda just calling our name telling us to leave. The problem is the creepy monster thing was right next to it. Yea we could have chose a different car but they were all new and I wouldn't have no where the cords to turn them on were. So we had no other option than to choose the old black car. I mean at least it was taking us to where we needed to go. I told Sebastian that he needed to distract the monster so that I could have time to turn on the car, but he kept on whining saying that he was too scared and so on. I slapped him, yes I really did and I didn't care. I told him to get it together because if not I would just give him to the monster and leave, finally he agreed to do it after a full on twenty minutes of not letting go of my arm." It's going to take twelve minutes. I need to rip the leather that was covering the cords, then I need you to run to the hotel, hide in one of the rooms, and to lock the door."

" On my count to run out in the street and start calling for the monster, as you do that I am going to break into the car and turn it on, then I will drive to the hotel to go get you, I will honk the horn and that is your signal to come out. It seems dangerous because the monster would be there but oh well at least we tried." As I was telling him this he looked so hopeless, but what else could he do?

"One, two, three GO!", he ran into the street yelling," HEY IDIOT I'M OVER HERE!, oh god I can't believe i'm doing this, OVER A GIRL, I mean what if she ends up liking me after this? Yea she might have forced me to do this but I couldn't resist she is just so cute! Her brown hair, pale skin and red flushed cheeks...", "WHAT IS THIS IDIOT DOING? SEBASTIAN YOU IDIOT, RUN, SNAP OUT OF IT!", I said. Why would be just stand there? Does he not know how to run? I ran to the car ,broke the glass, and tried starting it up. "I don't understand, right when I leave home this happens? I just don't get it but it is what it is". As I was starting up the car I had that same gut feeling that I had before we even saw the monster. Is sebastian in trouble? Oh gosh why ? why do I feel like this ? I have to run this car up quick and get him. I got the car running and i drove as quick as the car could go, I saw sebastian on the floor, he was as white as snow the monster was peering over him ready to take his life away. I got out the car and grabbed the first thing I saw on the floor, and coincidentally a large metal pole was just laying there like nothing. I ran up to the monster and swung the pole as hard as I could and it made the most horrifying noise ever, then fell to the ground. I hardly doubt it died but it gave me enough time to pick up Sebastian and help him into the car.

I drove off as fast as the car could go, and as I was driving you could hear the monsters horrific screeching, but I could not see it. We drove three hours and we still hadn't spot anyone. I decided to stop and get some food because I hadn't eaten, as I was getting out Sebastian held my hand asking me not to leave him. After that he hasn't left my side. It has been several weeks ever since i've seen a single person. The only thing I have been seeing the past weeks are monsters, each one horrifying after the other, I don't know why all of a sudden this is happening but it is and I have to live with it. I haven't told him yet but i'm driving back home to see if anyone is even still there. I am hoping no one is there which may seem a little gruesome but it's true.
