Kohana's POV

It's been 14 years living with all these weaklings and none of them can even lay a finger on me, except for one certain person of course. He's the only one who's ever been close to beating me at my own games. I growled to myself just at the thought of him.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, picturing my surroundings. My eyes shot open, instinctively spotting the ten targets hidden in such predictable places by Kakashi. I threw a kunai at each one swiftly, already knowing it would hit exactly where I wanted it to.

"Mere child's play." I stated with a bored tone.

I heard a rustle in the leaves, my eyes darting towards that direction. I spotted no one around but sensed two faint chakras nearby. I shrugged it off and decided to head home since it was dark outside already. I lived in Kakashi's house because he was ordered to take me in when I turned 10 by the Third Hokage. I was raised to be a weapon to defend this village, and that's all I'll ever be.

I hopped onto the roof of my house and laid down, gazing above. The pure white moonlight caressed my cheeks softly, while the twinkling little sparkles whispered sweet nothings.

"A blue moon." I uttered quietly.

Snap.

My body jolted upwards, darting towards the woods while masking my chakra. I hopped on a tree branch, searching for the people who followed me home. I spotted someone with blonde hair in the distance and quickly appeared behind them, covering their mouth that attempted to call for help but came out muffled. I held a kunai to their neck threateningly close.

"Who sent you here?" I interrogated, removing my hand slightly from their mouth.

"Do it now!" He yelled.

The sound of metal clanking ringed in my ears while my body jumped a few feet away from the blonde. The place I use to stand, was now where something in the shape of a scorpion's tail had landed in the attempt of hitting me. I picked up on the strong scent of something bitter and intoxicating.

"Poison." I spat out.

"What do you want with me?" I questioned, examining every inch of them.

The person on the left had long blonde hair tied up. If I were anyone else, I would have mistaken him for a girl. The other one looked vaguely familiar. However, I couldn't see his full face because it wore a mask. I noticed they both wore dark cloaks with floating red clouds.

"I'm guessing you're going to take me away." I said blatantly.

"We'll do it by force if we have to." The blonde stated.

"That won't be necessary. Lead the way."

"Huh?" He asked, dumbfounded.

"Were you hoping to fight me?" I asked.

"N-no! We'll be going now." He stammered.

We walked through the thick forest in silence until the idiot blonde decided to open his mouth again. I shook my head in dismay at his arrogance.

"What's your name cutie, un?" He asked, sliding his arm around my waist.

I pulled away and kicked his side into a tree, unsheathing my two katanas and holding one up to his throat.

"Don't touch me." I glared.

"Bitch, un." He mumbled.

"What did you say?" I sneered, lightly pressing the katana against his neck.

"Nothing, un! I'm sorry yeah!" He cried out as blood trickled down from the newly made cut.

"You wouldn't be apologizing if you didn't say anything, brat."

"Stop fooling around. You're wasting my time." The old man snapped.

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Tch. Such an impatient person." I sighed.

I took out the box of Pocky I had in my pocket and started munching on them quietly. We continued walking down the dark narrow path like nothing happened.

"What are you eating?" The blonde asked.

"It's mine. Now stop talking to me."

He crossed his arms and pouted. An irk mark appeared on his forehead while he grumbled incoherent things to himself. His behavior seemed oddly familiar, as if I knew someone who acted the same way. I went deep into my memories, but to no avail I couldn't remember anything related to the person I'm thinking of.

"We're here." The man's raspy voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Deidara." He spoke to the blonde.

"Yes, Sasori-danna."

I watched him carefully as he performed the hand seals; Bird, Ox, Horse, Bird, Dog, Ox, Snake. The large boulder that sat in front of us moved to the side, allowing us to enter the dark abyss. We stepped inside the cave while the rock moved back to its initial spot behind us. Once my eyes adjusted to the pitch black sight I saw Deidara and Sasori heading towards a doorway across the cave and followed them into my new home.
