Jamie Harrison is a hopeless romantic, although often pushes himself away from finding love. Even though he's a sweetheart, he's deeply afraid of hurting people and when he feels relationships are becoming more than just acquaintances, he pushes himself away. Jamie doesn't believe he's as good of a person as people say he is. He believes he's a total wreck and tends to be extremely over careful in everything he does. Jamie smokes periodically when his anxiety is high and he tends to stress himself out over things that don't matter.
Jamie, given the nickname Jem by his little sister, is haunted by his past. He grew up watching his parents at war and constantly heard them arguing; he doesn't remember a time when they weren't. He practically raised his little sister all by himself, taking care of her and himself as their parents fought each other. Jamie has to watch his sister be ripped away from him and put in a foster care system because of the ongoing arguing in the household. He was seventeen when his neighbors made a noise complaint, only to have the police see what was really happening in the home.
Jamie blames himself for a lot of things and he tends to over-apologize. He has a layed back and stoic personality, though he can get very nervous and start to freak out. Jamie is extremely clumsy and oblivious, often making a fool of himself in the worst situations possible.
He works in retail currently, but when he's not at his job, he's usually at the park daydreaming. Jamie isn't much of an optimist, but likes to think he is. He's much of a storyteller and always has some type of information stored in his brain. Jamie also sells art online, since he's been painting ever since he was a kid. It was just a hobby that distracted him from the battle going on inside his home.
