Butterflies

*End of first week of school*

Harry's P.O.V

"Just ask her! She's definitely not going to say no, trust me I've seen the way she looks at you and the way you look at her." I tell Louis. He's trying to get the balls to ask El out to dinner tonight before the party. He's convinced he's going to get rejected. They both have had the biggest crush on each other for years but neither of them realize it.

"IM SHAKING IN ME BOOTS MATE!" He yells. "WAIT! I have an idea!" He says throwing his hands in the air and then placing them on my shoulders. "Since you're my best mate and you'd do aaaaaaaanything for me..." He says smiling. I'm kind of afraid of where this is going. "How about you ask Riley and we can double date! It'd take the pressure off of me immensely!!" He says smiling widely. I knew I wasn't going to like where this was headed.

I shake my head ready to say no but he puts the most ridiculous pleading face on. "PLEASE HAZ PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU!" He yells. I run my hands through my hair, great there's no way I can say no now. I let out a big sigh and nod finally. He jumps about three feet in the air and then starts to do a happy dance. "Yes! Thank you Haz! Oh this is gunna be awesome!" He yells finally leaning back on the car and relaxing.

How in the world am I going to ask Riley on a date. Now I see why Lou was so nervous. I run my hands through my hair again and Louis pats my shoulder noticing my nervousness beginning to rise. I feel him squeeze my shoulder and I look up to notice our friends walking over. Riley and the rest of the girls are talking and she has the most amazing smile on her face. Her smile gives me the weirdest feeling in the pit of my stomach.

"Ms.Eleanor Calder may I steal you away for a moment." I hear Louis say as he approaches the chattering girls. She seems to blush and I can't help but chuckle. She nods and he walks her to the benches a few feet away from us. Well I guess it's my turn. Riley approaches me still smiling and talking to Perrie.

"Hey ladies." I choke out. They both look to me and wave. Riley walks up and I am sort of surprised when she gives me a quick hug. I look down at her and smile. I can't help but stare into her smokey blue eyes. I get lost in her eyes for what seems like only seconds but apparently is much more because I snapped out of my thoughts by a waving hand in my face.

"Earth to Harry, is anyone home?" I hear Perrie say. I blink and shake my head a little and then I feel my face heat up, but smile quickly when I notice Riley giggling.

"Uh yea sorry. Umm.... Riley can I talk to you for a minute?" I say running my hand through my hair again. She nods and we walk around to the front of Louis' car away from the rest of our friends.

Riley's P.O.V

I walk with Harry away from Perrie and the rest of the group. Once we are out of earshot he turns to me running his hands through his hair again. What is he so nervous about? I can't help but giggle at him. He's even more adorable when he's nervous.

After a minute of silence I prompt him, "So you needed to talk to me?" I say smiling knowing that his nerves have made him blank out.

"Uh yea, right. Um..." He walks closer to me. Once he's a foot in front of me he smiles and puts his hands in his pocket obviously trying to keep from running them through his hair again. "So, uh I was wondering..... Louis is asking El and..... Um...." He takes a deep breath and runs his hand through his hair again. When he drops his hand I grab it. He looks surprised at my action but it seems to give him the courage he needed to go on. He smiles and finally speaks again. "Would you like to go out to dinner with me?" He smiles nervously.

I can't help but smile widely before answering. "I'd love to." I say and the smile that appears on Harry's face gives me butterflies. His dimples pop and his eyes seem to sparkle with happiness.

"Great. I hope you don't mind that it's a double date with Lou and El." He says as we walk back toward the group.

"Nope that sounds perfect" I say reassuring him.

When we get back to the group Eleanor runs to me with the happiest smile on her face. "OH MY GOSH RI! Tonight is going to be amazing!" She squeals. I laugh at her excitement. Her face suddenly drops. "Oh no I have nothing to wear. Perrie! Danielle! We need to go shopping! Now!" She yells. We all laugh at her and she crosses her arms.

"Relax El." Dani says as she stops laughing. "Come on, I'll drive." She says as she hooks arms with Eleanor leading her to her car. She stops quickly to kiss Liam. Perrie also does the same to Zayn, lingering a bit longer. I can't help but smile at them, Danielle and Perrie are so smitten with their boyfriends. I turn to look at Harry who I hadn't realized was staring at me. He smiles and blushes realizing he got caught. I laugh and wave as we pile into Dani's car.

As we drive off I notice Louis jumping on Harry excitedly. I laugh and shake my head. The butterflies in my stomach flutter again. I can't believe I'm going on a date with my best friend.
