chapter one - i'm fine

"I'm fine."

To the brunette male it seemed to be the thousandth time he had said those dreadful words within the past two minutes.

Across from him were his two closest friends, if not his only, looking at each other worriedly, knowing how far those words are from the truth.

They had heard those words come from his mouth hundreds, if not thousands, of times and never had they heard them come out so painfully.

"We all know that's a lie Jungkook-"

"Paige. Olivia. I'm fine."

Based off their expressions, they still didn't seem to agree. Cracking her knuckles, Paige walked over to Jungkook, crouching down, and making eye contact with him.

"Jungkook. I want you to look at me."

Slowly making eye contact with the girl, seemingly shorter than him, the injured boy had finally prepared himself for being forcefully healed by them again.

"Have you seen yourself? You face is busted up, your hair is a mess, you can't walk normally, and that's not even including what's under your clothes. You're going to sit still while me and Olivia heal you, and your not going to make us leave until we do so."

The male had been surprised, no matter how many years he's known the girl, her attitude and mood swings still surprised him.

As the two girls were healing the boy, he began to tell them what happened.

Only after the two bugging him for 10 minutes or more (not that they're complaining).

According to Jungkook, he had went to meet up with his boyfriend. They had went out, window shopping, eating, having fun, basically acting like a normal couple for once. Until, for some reason, his boyfriend snapped.

He had been taken into an alley nearby and beat him. Which seemed to be normal, especially for the kind of relationship they had. But it wasn't, usually he wouldn't go this far.

Yes, his boyfriend may be psychotic but he usually knew when to stop. But when Jungkook called the two girls he was near passing out from blood loss.

"I- Jungkook... you know this isn't healthy. You've already been injured 3 times this month and it's only the second week. I don't know how much you can handle but, you need to end this abuse. We all know that"

"I-I know that Olivia. That's something I want to talk about..."

Finally after a few hours, Paige and Olivia has left. Of course only after healing their friend as much as they could and having some fun.

By the word fun, they mean eating an unhealthy amount of unhealthy foods and watching kdramas for a few hours.

After they left Jungkook had put himself to work. Cleaning up the house he had felt as if someone was watching him. But being oblivious to the fact, he brushed it off as the medicine kicking in.

So eventually, after cleaning, he had went to bed. Slowly slipping out of consciousness all he though was...

'I'm so close to being free from him. I don't know if he will actually leave me but only time can tell'.
