Andrew, Rosaline's Dad, had not returned home. As it turns out; he called Shawn an hour or so ago to inform him that he would be away for the next few days and that whatever he did, he could not let Rosaline out of his sight - not that Shawn was stupid enough to let that happen. Rosaline wasn't impressed. She was furious. Shawn saw this as a good bonding experience for the two of them, and even suggested heading into town for the day. Rosaline wanted to disagree so badly, and only accepted as she knew Shawn would not allow her to leave the premises without him at her side.
Wanting to see how much she could get away with and wanting things to go her way; Rosaline flicked her long blonde hair back behind her shoulders, leaving her hair out to flow freely as she fiddled with the heart shaped locket that hung from around her neck. She stood in the middle of her bedroom, awaiting Shawn's arrival. As she hoped she would, she caught his attention as soon as he appeared in the doorway.
"Rosaline!" he called in disapproval. She knew what he was about to say and chose to remain silent. "We've been over this," he groaned, folding his arms firmly against his chest.
"And we'll go over it again," she shrugged, standing her ground.
"You can't wear that," he insisted: utterly furious that she would go against his word.
"I can; and I will," she challenged.
"I thought we agreed that you'd wear a wig at all times," he mentioned; changing the subject.
This is what she had been waiting for. She knew he would mention the issue at one point or another. As if he could read her mind, knowing that she was about to ask what colour he had in mind, Shawn reached out and grabbed the purple wig off the mannequin on Rosaline’s dresser, then shoved it into her hands.
"This is not up for debate. Wear the wig, Rosaline, or we do not leave this house," he ordered.
With no way out of it, she pulled her long blonde hair back and tied it up in a bun and secured it with a hair net before pulling the wig on over the top. She studied herself in the mirror. The girl staring back at her was someone she did not recognise. She took the time to play around with the synthetic hair, and came to realise that it was long and came down to the top of her ribcage with a decent lengthed front fringe. Rosaline was full of fury with her appearance and was filled with hatred that Shawn and her father would make her take part in their stupid game.

“Let’s see a movie,” Shawn suggested as the pair walked aimlessly through the shopping centre. Rosaline shook her head. “Bowling?” He tried. Receiving no reply, Shawn stopped as he realised Rosaline was no longer beside him. Panic rising in him, Shawn turned, desperate to find her. He wouldn’t forgive himself if he’d screwed this up this badly so early on. He nearly fell to his knees when he spotted her a few shops down, out the front of a record store he hadn’t even noticed as they passed it. “New number one rule,” Shawn panted as he resumed his position at Rosaline's side. “If you’re going to leave me in public, you have got to tell me, or I might actually die of a heart attack.” Rosaline’s only response was to take Shawn’s hand in her own and pull him into the record store behind her. Shawn was surprised by the gesture to say the least, but let her lead the way regardless.
After spending half an hour in the shop, Rosaline hadn’t said a word, and despite his best efforts, Shawn couldn’t get a response from her. It was as if she was in her own world. Shawn didn’t mind really, it gave him the opportunity he’d hoped for, to get to know Rosaline in her truest, most genuine form. Shawn was intrigued by his observations. She moved amongst the shelves and bins with no specific purpose, but she was at peace surrounded by the vinyl and dust covers in a way he’d never seen her.
