(Sky's POV)
I looked to see the one and only, Alpha of my old pack. I snarled at him, which made him raise his eyebrow, "Do you think that's a good idea?" he sneered.
I got into an attack stance. I have no idea where this courage was coming from, but whatever it was, I loved the new feeling. He shifted into his reddish-brown wolf and circled me. My claws scratched the ground, anxious to tear him apart.
I barked aggressively, surprisingly, sounding very powerful. The Alpha was surprised and kind of taken aback also, so I used that chance to jump at him.
I bit into his neck while digging at his stomach, before I could do much damage he threw me off of him and pinned me to the ground. I snarled at him, scratched his stomach with my hind claws and shoved him off of me.
"You've gotten stronger already," he mind-linked--you see, I wasn't in Austin's pack yet and I never had the chance to sever the link, now that I think of it, that must have been how he was able to find me--to me, observing my moves as he circled me.
I was just about to jump when I felt, what felt like a wolf cannonballing onto me. I yelped in pain as I felt canines dig into my neck.
The Alpha shifted back into human form and had a smirk on his face as he stalked toward me and picked me up. He whispered into my ear, "You are going to regret to have ever attacked me."
