I blearily blinked myself awake when I heard the sound of the curtains drawing. Sitting up, I saw my mom walking over to my brother and I. We had both fallen asleep on the bed this time. "Time to get up." She said, sweetly. As I sat up, I gently nudged Tony awake. "It's a beautiful day, makes this castle a lot less creepy." I laughed at my mom's words.

Her gaze drifted towards the wardrobe laying on the ground, and for a moment, I was confused that it was there, but then the night before flashed back to me. "Why would they leave this laying there?" Mom asked, walking towards it. I panicked, trying to come up with an explanation, but Tony beat me to it. My younger brother jumped from the bed, and onto the wardrobe door. I flinched, feeling bad for the vampire who likely just received an annoying wake up call. "It's okay! I'm pretending it's my.....well. I don't know what it is yet, but when I find out, it'll be awesome!" Tony chuckled out, praying mom would buy it.

She did.

"You don't talk about playing and pretending much anymore....it's nice. But it's time for you two to come down for breakfast. Get ready, okay?" Mom said, before closing the door behind her.

I quickly made my way over to the wardrobe just as Tony knocked lightly on it. "Are you awake?" He asked, an eager smile on his face. "What do you think?" I winced at the annoyed voice of the vampire inside. "You're a very noisy mortal." He growled out. "Sorry." Tony apologized sheepishly. "I couldn't sleep anyway. I'm hungry." I could hear the frown in his voice. I saw a slight flash of fear in Tony's eyes as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a rusty old key. "Tony? What are you..." I stopped when my brother put the key into the lock on the wardrobe and twisted it. My ears caught the sound of the gears locking together. "Did you just lock me in?!" Rudolph growled out. Tony chuckled nervously, before darting down the stairs and to smell of breakfast.

Rudolph was banging on the doors, but they wouldn't give. I bit my lip in worry. Kneeling down beside the wardrobe, I gently placed my hand on it's side. "It's for your own good. It's still light outside." I supplied softly, smiling gently when the banging stopped. Rudolph scoffed slightly. "Please, it's his neck he's worried about." I could picture him rolling his ruby eyes.

Just as I was about to follow my brother down, Rudolph's voice stopped me. "Are you afraid that I'd bite you?" His voice was almost a whisper, as if he was scared to know my answer. I thought for a moment, but I found no reason to be afraid of him...he actually made me feel safer. "No. I'm not afraid of you." I said softly, before gently patting the side of the wardrobe and following my brother downstairs.

Just as I sat down at the table with my family, the owners slammed down a large plate of bratwurst in front of us. With my mind a bit preoccupied on the vampire upstairs, I tuned out my family's words as I grabbed a handful of the delectable smelling sausages. After eating about a dozen of them, I was pulled from my chair by Tony, who was now holding a large amount of aluminum foil. "C'mon sis!" He said, tugging me away from my food. "But, Tony!" I cried out, looking back at my half empty plate. My brother paid no mind as he dragged me back up the stairs and to our room.

He dropped the foil down onto the wardrobe before drawing the curtains closed, so the sun wouldn't get in. "Rudolph?" Tony asked, unsure if her was still there. "Who did you expect, Count Dracula?" The muffed reply came. "I'm going to let you out now. Breakfast is served." Tony stated proudly. "I-It's still morning. I can tell. Do you want sun-fried vampire on the menu?" Rudolph growled out, before slamming against the now unlocked door to the wardrobe. Tony fell to the ground with a thud, just as Rudolph rose from the wardrobe, looking none too happy. Tony sat up, grabbing the foil and showing it to the vampire. "Trust me." He said, smiling at the Rudolph. "I never thought I say this to a mortal but.....I do trust you." Rudolph smiled lightly, looking at me.
