  Chapter 13

Ling Xia helplessly witnessed Ling Jue being dragged into the water inch by inch. He recklessly dive into the lake to follow after it, swimming with all his strength.

The Two Headed Flying Serpent's slit pupils were closely observing him. It was looking down on him with its head high as if he's only a mere ant in the ground. It's either staying idle from being bored, or it was waiting for him to make a move.

Ling Xia rushes to swim towards the two headed serpent's tail. While he was swimming, he was looking for ways to make it reveal Ling Jue so he can save him. However, with just a few swipes of wind blades, Ling Xia was quickly washed ashore by the shockwave.

The Two Headed Flying Serpent stepped back once more, and watches Ling Xia with full interest.

Ling Xia was a bit taken back when he discovered that there weren't any injuries in his body. He immediately dives in again, but as soon as he swims near, the Two Headed Flying Serpent strikes him with the same attack.

Again and again, Ling Xia was washed ashore for three times already, making him completely furious.

It so obvious that this monster is just playing tricks with me like a monkey!

The Two Headed Flying Serpents tail wasn't deeply submerged into the water, but he still couldn't see clearly whether Ling Jue sustained heavy injuries. He stayed still, floating in the water for quite some time...glaring at the two headed serpent.

I'm willing to risk my life, if it would save Ling Jue!

The aquatic plants floating on the water surface suddenly reminded Ling Xia of his innate abilities. He evoked the elemental energy in his body and controlled those aquatic plants to rise up. Countless creeping vines started shooting up in a rapid rate on the surface of the lake.

"Go!" Ling Xia suddenly brandished his hands forward, and those countless vines swiftly crawled towards the serpent. The vines simultaneously weaves itself, creating an enormous net binding around the Two Headed Flying Serpent's body.

But with just a few slashes of wind blades, the net surrounding it was turned into countless fine pieces of rattan, and falling like sprinkling snowflakes. However, more of those continued to rise up and coil around the serpent. Ling Xia took that chance to lift several heavy boulders and throws it over, one of them unexpectedly hitting the two headed serpent in the stomach. The hit made it coil back for a moment.

"Let go of Ah Jue!" Ling Xia shouted loudly towards it, "if you have the ability, come and eat me!"

The Two Headed Flying Serpent lets out a dangerous hissing sounds, its yellow green eyes eminating a terrifying glow. Ling Xia didn't have an ounce of fear as he stares back at the serpent. Both of his eyes reddened as he shouted repeatedly without pausing: "Give Ah Jue back to me!"

Ling Xia slightly hunched his back, and clenches his fist with the desperation to fight back.

Ah Jue can no longer be kept waiting!

"Just for this boy, your willing to sacrifice your life?" An arm suddenly wrapped around his shoulder from behind, his magnetic deep voice resonating closely in his ears, "that makes me jealous."

Ling Xia quivered. Out of reflex, he turned around and swung his fist, but it was effortlessly caught. His clothes were thoroughly soaked long ago, sticking closely to his figure. He didn't know how the masked man did it, but his clothes quickly became dry.

This masked person was wearing a long blue robe this time. The mask covering half of his face had an exquisite orchid pattern across it, his exposed lips had a beautiful luster, and his chin was handsome and chiseled gorgeously. His appearance was dazzling as always.
