Autumn's POV

I was back at my cove and just sat on the branch of a tree. Tooth flew me home and she was in the same mood as me:sadness.

I think I was more sad then anyone because I really like Jack and I knew he didn't mean for this to happen. I know he means well I know it.

The place I live in is called Autumn Cove. It is a huge forest filled with autumn colored trees and any other autumn things you could imagine. It's very quiet compared to he Worksop or the Warren or the Palace. This is the place where animals come right before hibernation. I assist the animals with getting into hibernation and make sure no one is left behind.

The cove wasn't as bright as it was before. The leaves had fallen more and didn't grow back. Most of the trees were just branches and most of the animals were weary and tired.

If I'm affected then my home gets affected.

My eyes snapped up when I saw black sand fly by.

I hopped down from the branch and took out my wand. It was probably useless at this moment but I didn't care.

"Pitch." I called. "I know you're here."

Another nightmare passed by and I shot my magic at it but it missed.

"Don't bother trying, little niece." Pitch's voice echoed. "Your powers are weak and useless against me."

"I will always fight you!" I shouted and Pitch appeared a few feet in front of me. I let out a battle cry and blasted as much magic at him. He blocked it with his black sand and it formed into large spike like sculpture.

The sculpture was black and orange. It reminded me of my past before I became a guardian. Pitch and I worked together at one point until I had enough of his antics and joined the Guardians.

"Autumn! Why fight when you could join me?!" Pitch called and walked around the sculpture to me. "Look what we could do together."

He gestured to the sculpture in front of us and I looked at it.

"When our powers are combined, we would make the most powerful and feared team out there." My uncle explained and he came up to my ear. "Don't you want that?"

I moved back and shook my head. "I don't want to be feared. That's the last thing I want."

"Oh, but I do have something you do want." Pitch said and out of nowhere a cage appeared and Twilight was inside it. I gasped at the form she was in. She looked hurt and skinnier then usual. She also shrunk in size and couldn't stand.

"Twilight!" I cried and reached for her, but Pitch moved away.

He shook his finger at me. "You want the cat, give me the wand."

I looked down at my wand and back up at my beloved cat.

Twilight purred at me and I could tell she was hurt by her voice alone.

I reluctantly handed Pitch my wand. Twilight was released and I immediately caught her in my arms. She was weak and was struggling with her breathing.

"It's okay." I assured her and held her close. "What did you do to her?"

"Just kept her locked up for hours." Pitch shrugged like it wasn't a big deal. "Without food and water."

Twilight growled him and tried to scratch him but ended up whining in pan.

I glared at Pitch and petted Twilight.

"How dare you!" I shouted and Pitch chuckled.

"Just waiting for you to give in." Pitch begin with a devilish smirk. "You got your cat back but I know you're still missing something very important to you."
