"Aye, Newsies! Get up! The papes ain't gonna sell themselves!"

Elisa's voice reverberates off the walls of the New York alleyways. All throughout the alleys and the Lodge House, groans and yelling is heard.

"Aye, that's my cigar!" Race yells at someone.

"Ha, you'll steal anutta!" Albert sasses back. Elisa chuckles and shakes a few of her boys awake.

"Hey look, it's bath time at the zoo." Race yells...again. He's constantly yelling. Why is that child constantly yells. When he wakes up, when he's selling papes(understandably), when he's playing cards with the boys, when he's freaking asleep, for the love of the Lord above.

"I thought that I'd surprise my mudda." Specs replies, wiping shaving cream off of his face.

"If you can find her." Albert says to him, leaning over a railing. Everyone in the building turns and shouts at him.

    "WHO ASKED YOU?!?"

That's when the infamous Jack Kelly makes himself known.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the beautiful and charming Elisabeth Walsworth, with her long gloriously golden locks of hair and sparkling sky blue eyes that make the buttaflies wound my insides." He saunters over to Elisa and swings an arm over her shoulder.

"Really Kelly? Do I look like-" she is silenced by Jack giving her a quick kiss full on the lips. He's a real charmer, ain't he, that saucy yet gentle newsboy who had stolen her heart. He walks away with a lovesick smirk gracing his chiseled features.
"It's a crooked game we're playing, one we'll never lose. As long as suckers don't mind paying, just to get bad news!"

He gives a kid a knuckle sandwich causing Elisa to roll her eyes. The Newsies start to get rowdy like they do every morning while Crutchie and Elisa look on from the side.

"Alright, get ya tails to Newsies Square!" Jack yells. Every boy hollers and pushes each other to get through the door, trying to get the gate to see what today's headline will be. Well, Elisa, instead of going to the Gate, she goes to the Bowery Theatre to see Ms. Medda, owner of the theatre and second mother to the Newsies.

Just as she was going to knock on Ms. Medda's office door, a throbbing headache hit. She hits the deck, clutching her head in agony. This had been the sixth one this week. Ms. Medda just so happens to walk out of her office to find Elisa convulsing on the floor. She picks up the girl and brings her to a spare room in the theatre.

Ok let me back up. Elisabeth isn't from the 1890s, she's from 2018.

In 2018, she's a musical theatre actress. One of her co-workers introduced her to a crazy scientist who went by the name Dr. Simulviator. Apparently, he had built a time machine, kind of like the Tardis from Doctor Who. And her co-worker volunteered Elisabeth for an experiment. Dr. Simulviator sent her back in time to Jack Kelly and the Newsies.

    But there are side affects.

Elisabeth now has an unknown brain tumor and the longer she stayed in 1899, the bigger it grows and the more pain it causes. And there is no return to the present day. So it can only get worse.

Annywho, the day progress' until around sunset. Elisabeth sits on the roof watching the sun set. She hears yelling down stairs and rushes as fast as she can with her head still reeling. She finds Ms. Medda talking with Jack and two other boys.

"Gentleman, may I introduce to you the wonderful Ms. Medda Larkin, owner of this theatre here." Jack told the boys, trying to emulate an announcer.
