(4) New Hair

Monday morning rolled around and she walked in with a new hair color and she had it all curled. She put her cheer stuff in her locker when Bucky came in and she turned and grabbed her books. He stopped her and said "What did you do?'

She walked off from him and he looked down and turned to see her walk out the door. Everyone loved her hair including Steve. After practice that afternoon Bucky pulled her into the athletic hall and he said "What the fuck did you do to your hair?"

She just rolled her eyes and walked out of the hallway and went home. She did her homework and ate dinner with her mom. She went to sleep around 10 and Bucky was at his house sleeping with another girl. That Friday was another away game she packed her headphones and put them in as soon as she sat down. 

He looked down and closed his eyes. He pulled his phone out and typed out "I never meant to hurt you Spencer. I just think it would be better if it was with someone that loves you and not someone like me." he hit send 

She read it and locked her phone without responding. He closed his eyes and shook his head as he looked at the ceiling. "Dad do I have to sit here." he said

"What's wrong?' James said

"Dad do I have to sit here." he said again.

"Yes you two are the captains." James said

Spencer sighed and pulled out her headphones and said "Then I quit being captain let Nat take over." as she grabbed her bag and went to sit in the back seat.

"James Buchanan what did you do?' James said

He leaned his head against the window and kept holding back tears that were trying to fall. During the game she was doing a triple tuck in the air defense was on the field and she landed it and then went back up and did it again but missed her mark and then he heard screams and he looked behind him and saw Spencer on the ground and went running and "My knee Nat my knee" she screamed 

"Spencer look at me'' Bucky said as he tries to straighten it out

"AHHHHH SHIT BUCKY!!!" she screamed 

"Okay okay.." Bucky said 

"Buck you are due back on the field." James said

"Nat text me." he said 

Nat went with her to the ER and the doctor said "Nothing serious Ms Cooper you tore your MCL so no surgery just some physical therapy and staying off of it. So no cheer or dance. Here's your brace." 

The game was over by the time she was done at the hospital and Bucky came in and he said "Are you okay?" 

"I tore my MCL." she said 

"Well that's good news." he said

"Yeah." she said 

He helped her up and Nat got her bag and he sat her in their seat and propped her legs on his. Once they got back her mom was waiting scared to death and she said "Oh my baby are you okay." 

"Yeah I will be I tore MCL which is just some PT for till it's better."  she said 

Monday morning rolled around and Bucky met her at the door and she said "You don't have to act like you care bout me" 

"Well I'm not acting I do genuinely care. I'm not a heartless asshole." he said

"Could of fooled me." she said 

"Spencer..." he said 

He came up behind her and whispered "If you are with Steve why does it bother you so much that I don't want to sleep with you now." 

"Because like always Bucky gets what he wants. I was more than willing to with you but then you go sleep with someone else like I didn't matter." she whispered. "So if you don't mind I would greatly appreciate if you just stop and leave me alone." she added. Then she limped off and met Steve and kissed him.
