Chapter one

Andrew Loreno pov

Im in a bedroom. Its not mine. My foster mom told me it was mine, but i know that ill be out of here in a month or two. I'll go to another family, sleep in another bedroom, and then leave. It has aways been this way, and untill im eighteen it will stay this way. 

My foster momsname is cheryl. She is nice, probably to nice for her own good. There is another foster kid here too. His name is kayden. He is eight years old. Then there is my foster father, his name is Samual. He doesnt talk much, not unless its needed.    Cheryl and Sam have been together for 28 years. They have fostered kids for about 10 years now. Im there sixth and kayden is the fifth.  

 i hear little footsteps come down the hall, then a knock at the bedroom door.  I open it too see Kayden stareing up at me, His long brown hair covering most of his eyes, but you can still see that they are a vibrant blue. " mommy says its time for dinner! she made spaghetti." he says excited. I nod my head at him. He puts his hand up and i hold it as he leads me down the hallway. 

" Mommy we are here!" he says as he lets go of my hand and runs to sit down in his seat at the table. The dining room is separated from the kitchen by a half wall.  I sit down next to Kayden and watch as cheryl grabs a bowl of noodles and sets it  down on the table. 

" Sam time for dinner" she says. I see sam get up from his spot on the couch in the living room and make his way over here.  He sat down across from me and cheryl sat next to him.

Kayden stares expectedly at cheryl. " you can start eating Kay. You to Andrew you have a big day tomorrow." I turned to look at her in confusion. Out of the corner of my eye i see kayden grab for the pasta spoon but his elbow hit his glass of milk. I reached over and quickly grabbed it before it spilt every where. 

Kayden looked up in surpise at me. I gave him a look that said be careful.

I turned to see cheryil put some sauce on her food. " Tomorrow the both of you are coming with me to check out some schools. Hopefully we will find a nice one."

oh, school. Jeez how many  has it been so far? Ten, Eleven maybe. Im barely out of middle school, and summer doesnt end till next week. i nodded my head at her and put a little bit of spaghetti on my plate. we all ate in silence. I finished quickly and walked to the kitchen. I put my plate in the sink and headed back to the bedroom. 

" Good night sweetie, dont forget to wake up early tomorrow." I heard cheryl say as i walked away. I got to the room and pulled out my Backpack. I got out a half empty pack of marlboro red cigaretts. I turned of the light in the bedroom and walked to the window. I slowly opened it and climbed out. The bedroom faced the back yard. There was a small light blue fence surrounding it, and a gate that led out into the forest behind it. I walked all the way to the back and out of the gate.  i went a little bit far into the forest and sat down against a large-ish tree. i pulled out my lighter and a cigarette. i watched the smoke puff out and stared up into the trees. The sound of the forest and warm summer breeze made me drowzy. I tried my best to stay awake but eventually my cigarette was all used up and my eyes were closing.

I woke up a little it later to the sound of a twig snapping. i shot my head up and looked around. A few feet next to me was a small squirrel. I smilled at it and tried to wave but my arms were kinda stuck. i looked down to see my body wrapped warmly in a thick layer of moss and vines. I started to panic and try to get free. And as soon as i started moving the moss and vines pulled back and let me go. I looked around me and saw a bunch of flowers everywhere . I loked around to find my cigarettes and saw something on my arm.It was a tiny blue flower. I went to take it off. I felt it pull on my skin and break off.

Holy shit. A fucking flower was just growing on me. I quickly got up, grabbed my lighter and cigarettes and ran back to the house. I opened the bedroom window and climbed in. I put my stuff away and went into the connected bathroom. I turned on the light and looked in the mirror. I almost screamed, My ears were longer and pointed and a tattoo showed up on the side of my face. It Kinda looked like a leaf. I oppened my mouth in  surprise and saw sharp white fangs. My light brown hair was now a dark shade of black it almost looked blue. Holy shit, i have to be hella high right now. 

I walked out of the bathroom and sat on the bed i decided to just go to sleep. but as soon as i went to go under the covers i heard a small knock at my door. 

I went to it and opened it. I looked down at kayden and saw tears welling up in his eyes. I picked him up and carried him into my room. I turned on the light and tried to ask him what was wrong. But when i saw him i new i wasnt high. His eyes are the brightest glowing blue i have ever seen. i felt something move against the plam of my hand. Surprised i looked at his back and saw two light, flittery wings, both silver and blue. I looked back at him and he was staring in aww at my face.  " Andrew my head hurts" he said whining and laying his head on my chest. I started to rub his head while i was thinking. 

What is cheryl gonna do. Shell call the cops and kayden will be taken away to be expiremented on or something worse. Shit what do i do. i suddenly got an idea. i sat kayden up looked him in the eyes and said " Hey kay ,do you wanna go to the park down the street."

At the mention of his favorite place he became wide awake. He nodded his head and started bouncing up and down. " Okay well calm down ill go pack some snacks and then well go alright" After that  i got up and set him down on the bed. I went to his room grabbed one of his bags and packed some clothes for him. I went into the kitchen and saw sam asleep on the couch, family fued was playing loudly on the tv.

Good he shouldnt here us when we leave. I got some water bottles from the fridge and some snacks, for kayden. I went back to  the room and started to panic when i didnt see kayden anywhere. 

Then i heard him say my name quietly from above me. I looked up to see him flying near the ceiling. " i cant get down andy" He whimpered. I jumped up to try and get him but barely missed. I jumped again and grabbed a hold of his leg. I pulled him down and pressed him against me. His wings stopped moving and he went back down to the floor. i grabbed my already packed bag and went towards the door. I opened it and walked out passed the living room towards the front door. I turned to grab kaydens hand when i saw him go up to sam and pull the blanket up higher on his body. 

Kayden walked up towards me and grabbed my hand . i opened the door and headed to the park.  When we got there i let kayden play on the swings for  little bit. He never let go of my hand. After a while he got tired and whined to go to sleep. I pick him up and gave him a piggy back ride. 

I started heading to the place i had planned to go. My friend Diana would know what was happening and she only lived thirty minutes away . Im sure she would let us hang out there while we tried to figure out what was going on. 

The sun had just started to rise as i saw the street dianas house was on . As i got closer i could see that her bedroom light was on so  i knew she was awake.  I walked up to her porch and looked up her bedroom was on the second floor. There was a little fence type thingy on the side of the wall that i climbed up to get on the roof. I knocked on her window. I watched her race to get up out of her desk chair and open the window. 

"hey drew its like six in the morning what are you doing here." she moved to the side and let me climb through. I made sure not to hit kayden on the window. When i got him inside i laid him down on dianas bed. " whos that?" she asked

"foster brother" i said as i pulled a small blanket over kayden . I pulled my hood off.  " we need some help" 

 I turned around and looked at her

" What the actual fucking fuck!!!!"

( So how do you guys like the first chapter, its long and shitty. Anyways if anybody even reads this tell me what you like and dislike about this first chapter.  So you have met the boys.
