Long ago, there was a new Pokémon discovered by the citizens of Teraseta. The people found it odd, and when they first found it, it was still just a large crystal-like rock. They kept the crystal in the king, Max's chamber to make sure it stays safe, then waited. . .

The king was still a young man, he's wise, generous and a great ruler, which is why the kindom of Tereseta lived peacefully under his reign.

He took care ofthe crystal,he made sureit is safe, made sure its surface shines, and always places it on a soft pillow on top of his dresser, and soon enough, the crystal started to glow.

It was actually a legendary Pokémon, named Jirachi, for it has the power to grant wishes. The kingdom was delighted, always asking the wish Pokémon for help, but promised not to do so of greed.

Jirachi was very happy granting wishes, but a week later, his time was up, for he needs to go back to his a thousand years slumer. He was very sad, for he loved the people dearly, and the king was like his brother. He doesn't want to leave, but he has no other choice.

So before he left, he told the king about his own wish. His last wish. . .

Was to find a friend that will be with him. Forever.

"Okay, class! You can head home now, but remember; your homework for today is write an essay about what you think of the legend. Is that clear?"

"Yes ma'am!" The class replied in monotone at once, impatient because of how tired they are from schoolwork. 10 year old Gwen quickly stuffed her books in her bag, wiping the sweat dripping down her forehead and adjusted her glasses. She quickly slung her bag over her shoulders and rushed out, whipping her sweaty jetblack bangs.

She was glad the day was done, it's Friday and all she's going to worry about is the essay, then she can watch t.v or do anything she wished.

Unlike other kids who start their Pokémon journey, she stayed and studied at a school. The reason why was that Professor Birch ran out of starters, and since she's a bit picky when it comes to Pokémon, she decided to wait for next year or find a Pokémon she liked. She always carry a spare Pokéball with her, which is a necklace around her neck. So far, she still hasn't found the perfect partner to start the journey.

She smiled thinking of it, but stopped in her tracks all of a sudden.

:I'm. . . I'm calling for you: A small voice echoed in her head. She gasped and looked around, finding s cave at her left. She instantly ran in without thinking, trying to find where the voice came from. :I'm right here!:

"Where?!" Her high-pitched voice squeaked, fear in her eyes as she looked around frantically. If she gets lost, she's doomed.

A small flash caught her attention, and she ran tpward it. She found a crystal, which she thought was pretty. Sh wanted to show it to her mom, so she picked it up and stared at it. It was sparkly, and it looks like a rock she never saw before. Maybe she'll ask her dad, Steven, because he knew a lot about rocks.

She grinned and ran, retracing her steps. She never noticed the egg glow a fainty white, nor did she saw what was inside it. But what inside it smiled.

:I finally had my wish. . . Thank you. . . :
