THE WITCH

*Early evening, at the river, realizing that they are being watched.*

JIMIN POV

We are all on our feet now. Yoongi pushes me behind him and I see Namjoon and Jungkook do the same with Jin and Taehyung.

"What do you mean someone's watching us? Who and where are they?" Yoongi growls, his eyes scanning the wooded area on the opposite bank.

" I don't know." Hoseok answers, his eyes narrowed and scanning the opposite bank as well. "My instincts are telling me whoever it is means us no harm, and...."

"...and?" I ask after a few beats

He turns to me, his caramel eyes full of confusion. "And I sense a sort of familiarity. Like, I know them or should know them." He turns his eyes back to the opposite bank.

"I can't smell anything so they must be human, right?" I ask

"Humans have a scent too, it's just nowhere near as strong as a wolf's. You will be able to pick up the scent if they get closer." Namjoon answers, his posture on alert in case something bad happens.

Jin steps out from behind him. "Whoever is out there, you don't need to be afraid, we won't hurt you. Will you please come out and speak with us?" He asks kindly.

"Oh, I'm not afraid!" A sweet young voice answers back. "I am just REALLY enjoying the view!" Humor obvious in their voice

"The view?" Jungkook asks confused

The sun has set and the moon shines brighter than it should in the night sky, giving the area a silvery glow. We see a small silhouette come out of the shadows and approach the opposite bank. The silhouette is definitely one of a small female. She reaches the edge of her side of the bank and I can make out a few details of her appearance. She is small in both height and size, her hair is long and thick, her skin is pale and seems to shine in the moonlight, she appears to be wearing a simple shirt and pants, and belted at her waist hangs a short sword.

"The view of seven handsome naked men!" She answers, her voice still full of humor. We instinctively cover ourselves and she laughs. "It's a little late for that. I've already seen everything!"

Before any of us can say anything else, she wades into the water and begins to swim across.

My eyes buldge. Needless to say, I was shocked. She's a brave little thing coming over to seven men she doesn't know. Yoongi apparently has similar thoughts.

"I can't tell if she's brave, or stupid." He whispers to me.

I look up when I hear a gasp come from Hobi. His eyes are wide and his mouth is hanging open. He runs into the river, meeting the girl halfway, and scooping her up into his arms. All of us were shocked, including the girl, who let out a surprised yelp as Hoseok carried her out of the water.

"Oh, um....thank you." The girl said to Hoseok as he gently sets her on her feet.

"You're cold and wet." He said, his brows furrowed in concern. "We should start a fire or something."

"No need." She said with a smile. She waved her hand down the front of her and she was instantly dry and we were all hit with a faint scent of cinnamon.

"Woah!" Taehyung exclaimed in excitement "Do something else!"

She laughed and held out her hand, palm up. Inside it was a ball of fire. Taehyung clapped. Thanks to the fire I could see that her hair was a vibrant red and her eyes a dark green.

"So you're a witch, and I'm guessing fire is your element?" Namjoon asked with interest

"I am and it is!"
