Chapter One
Stepping in a revitalizing bath within a windy breeze is a homeboy that made me suspicious. His long, thick hair that covers his left eye thought me of something silly -- maybe he had not let his hair cut for about a year. Standing in 6 feet is an abnormal height for his age. I think he is just 14 or 15. He is handsome too! I think I have a crush on him.
I peek in their large adobe house, EVERYDAY. I made a hole on their backyard to fascinate myself whenever he comes to that area to water the plants in their garden. His home-fresh looks made me stunned for seconds. Within that range, I could barely die. I keep on trying lines that can impress him. I made a lot of lines but, will I succeed to impress him in real life? No one knows. I often go out and check if he's outside but, unfortunately, he's not. Every time I do it, I keep thinking that maybe he is shy or just some broad, stupendous reasons.
Every year, there is a royal ball for teens -- and I'm joining! Hoping that he will join too. My sarcasmic ego made me jittery of the day that pass by before our royal ball. One time while checking if he is outside, I saw him throwing the garbage in the truck bin. I rapidly run towards him saying,
"H-h-h-he-hello there homeboy." I even said it in a blobbish way! Ugh. Embarassing.
"Hi." He replied then turned his back away, entering their house before I offer my hand for a handshake.
I oftenly see him outside now. I can't explain how happy I am whenever I see him. I can feel the butterflies in my stomach and my heart beats fast when I see him. I ran to him and slapped him -- I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I DID THAT! Maybe because of desperation for his attention. Because of his anger, he punched me and the last thing I saw was a total darkness.
When I woke up, I was shocked of the scene. He was cuddling me while treating my bruised cheeks because of that very strong punch. I think I'm blushing right now. I said to myself, "I am the luckiest girl in the world."
" I'm sorry for slapping you earlier." I said and immediately stood up to leave and I walked like a drunk man. Then, I went home happy.
