Everything was going fine, everything. Everyone around him was happy. Just not to him though, only around him.

But maybe he should not be so harsh. His elder brother, Shivaay, who did not believe in love, acknowledged that he had feelings for Annika and was determined to work on their relationship. To be honest, he was a little unhappy that Shivaay forgave Tia so easily for lying to him, but Shivaay and even Annika, insisted that Tia was pressurized by his mother, and now since Shivaay had accepted their marriage, what's the point of raising this issue. Tia went away happily with her Robin, her husband, who was not her brother after all. Rudra was right all along.

Rudra, his younger brother, who believed that girlfriends could be changed like reading a different newspaper everyday, himself proposed to Soumya. And not because they got married accidentally, but because he realized how much more than a friend Soumya was when she saved him from Romi, and was about to get engaged to Rehan. They were still figuring out their relationship, but the smiles on their faces screamed young love.

Priyanka probably had the toughest journey to love. Ranveer literally started out by blackmailing her. Though he was still upset about it, he understood Ranveer's rage, Priyanka and himself, had injured Ranveer's sister in that accident. He would probably never recover from the guilt of that. But with the treatment he was paying for, maybe his sister will recover from her paralysis. Oddly, Ranveer fell in love with Priyanka, falling for her good nature and innocence, and strangely Priyanka too responded. They both kept it a secret from the elders and Shivaay, knowing that they would oppose. Only Annika, Rudra, Soumya, and him were privy to the existence of this relationship.

And him? Omkara, the one who always believed in love, who elevated it to the status of Khuda, God, where was he? He was alone, he felt empty. Even when he and others spoke to Mallika about their ideas on love, he wasn't thinking of Riddhima. So, it came as no surprise to him, that after three years of relationship, all he remembered of Riddhima after their break up, was her final betrayal. Not the good parts. Maybe all he ever felt for her was affection, and not love. Maybe he was unfortunate, he was the cursed child, the first child of his parents terrible marriage. Love is not for him. But betrayal, lies, guilt, hurt, that he had plenty of.

And his father just added to the injury....

That woman, she engineered her own accident. His parents relationship, which seemed to be improving bit by bit, was on the rocks again. She made it look like she put her life in jeopardy to save Tej, and of course his father needed that excuse to bring her home, for her recuperation. Svetlana, the dark cloud in his life.

Omkara had enough. He couldn't take anymore of his father's impunities, watch his mother cry. To be honest, he was upset over how his mother never stood up for herself, despite having the support of her entire family. He, Omkara, couldn't bear it.

He packed his shoulder bag, stuffed some cash in the wallet he rarely carried, and left behind his cellphone. He needed a break from all this.

From the hollowness that had crept upon him, from the consecutive betrayals that injured him one after the other, and from the revival of his father's emotional abuse of his mother.

"Sir, show me your ticket?" asked the Traveling Ticket Inspector (TT).

Omkara didn't realize when in the dead of night he had left, and ended up walking to the railways station, sitting on a train, which went God knows where.

"What train is this?" asked Omkara.

The TT looked at him suspiciously. "Do you really plan to travel somewhere or are you just lounging on the train for free, that too, in air conditioned compartment?"

"What is the last station? Give me a ticket to the last station" said Omkara, handing the TT two thousand rupees.

Since the train was going empty in the air conditioned compartments, the TT sold him a ticket and returned the change.

"By the way, this train goes to Ramnagar, in Uttar Pradesh. And it stops at several stations" said TT before leaving.

Omkara didn't care where the train took him. He was just....running away.
