ERIKA COSTELL ANGRILY SAT at the end of her bed. her mind was everywhere, school was over and she was back at her home. she looked for alissa everywhere but it seemed as if she was avoiding her at all costs.
erika called cortney to see where she was and she explained that she headed back home because she wasn't feeling great, erika wasn't feeling great either, she fucking hated the fact that she knew that alissa and anthony hooked up.
"erika, someone is here for you" a voice called from downstairs. erika heard but she ignored it, she was too focused on thinking what the hell she would do, what she was supposed to say to alissa, how she would explain this to cortney.
"i said, someone is here for you" the same voice entered her room. "earth to erika?" the voice said waving their hands in front of the angry girl. "um- yeah?" erika said snapping out of it.
"there is someone at the door for you" the person said rolling their eyes. "ok, thank you jc" erika thanked her brother and went downstairs to see who it was.
she was hoping it wasn't cortney, erika didn't figure out yet what to do and she was scared that if cortney found out what happened she would be heartbroken all over again.
she opened the door and met eyes with the last person she expected to see, jake paul. "jake, what are you doing here?" erika questioned him. "just came to check up on you" jake said with a slight smile.
"why?" erika asked confused. "well" he sighed. "there are rumors running around that anthony hooked up with alissa, and you know, cortney is your friend" he said shyly. "and people at school were saying that you seemed pretty angry and upset about it" he continued to say.
"so that's why i came to check up on you, to see how you were doing" jake explained, his lips curving into a smile. erika's heart melted a little hearing those words come out of his mouth, she smiled back at him but quickly covered it.
"um- thank you, i'm fine" erika said sounding nervous. jake chuckled, "can i come in?" jake asked looking behind erika. "yeah, sure" she said letting him in. erika started walking upstair to her room with jake going behind.
she sat at her bed and jake sat besides her. "sooo" jake said breaking the awkward silence. "look erika, i know it's hard for you to trust me but i really need you to give me a second chance like i can seriously prove to you that i'm better than what people say i am" jake said grabbing erika's hand. "i'm better than what you think i am" jake continued.
erika looked down to see her fingers intertwined with his and she quickly pulled away.
"look jake" erika started, "i want to trust you, believe me. my mind is a battle right now because i'm really trying to trust you but it's hard knowing what you do, you always do this" erika said. "do what?" jake questioned frowning.
