THE BRUNETTE GIRL'S FACE SOFTENED when she heard that. it fluttered her knowing that somebody besides her best friend actually cared about her, she was always putting others in front of herself and nobody seemed to notice or care.
"thank you jake" erika smiled thankfully. "c'mon erika, let's go" her blonde best friend dragged her trough the hallways. jake frowned looking at both girls walk away, he genuinely wanted to help.
"what is it paul?" chance scared jake from behind. "god chance, what the hell do you want?" jake hissed.
"chill out, you seemed upset. what's up?" chance asked, one of his eyebrows raising. "nothing" jake muttered. "i saw you talking to erika, have you made any progress?" chance smirked, playfully hitting jake in the arm.
"yeah i guess" jake blushed deeply. his best friend gasped, he couldn't believe that his best friend was blushing. "oh my god stop" chance groaned. "what?" jake hissed, clearly annoyed.
"do not even tell me that you're developing feelings towards that bitch" chance rolled his eyes. "seriously chance? of course not!" jake exclaimed, pissed off. "you know why i'm doing this" jake rolled his eyes at his ignorant best friend.
but the truth was that he didn't even know why he was doing all of this. sure, erika was a really attractive girl but was she worth all the effort? was the kiss list worth it? was he doing this because he actually cared?
"so what? you're going to waste all of your energy into that girl just to get a damn kiss for that list and then leave her?" chance questioned him. "yes, that's exactly what i'm doing" jake laughed.
"i have been doing that with every single girl on that list and now suddenly you don't agree with my kiss list?" jake scoffed. "jake i love you bro, but you have kissed a thousand girls. you don't need erika to complete your kiss list" chance complained.
the majority of the guys at the school had a kiss list, which consisted in 40-50 girls that you had to kiss in a year, obviously you could choose the girls you wanted on your list.
till this day no guy has ever completed their list, and jake was about to do that. he just needed to get a kiss from erika.
"yeah, i do need to kiss her chance! hop off my dick already" jake groaned.
"what the hell" a voice yelled. they both widened their eyes, scared to dear life that it was going to be cortney behind them, or worse erika. they slowly turned around to meet eyes with chloe bennett and mackenzie rose. the two guys sighed in relief.
"thank god it's only you guys" chance laughed like everything was okay, but the two girls weren't having it. "do you think this is funny?" mackenzie yelled at them. "chill" jake yelled.
"why? why should we chill? you guys are assholes" chloe spat at them. "we're telling erika" mackenzie gave the two boys a sarcastic smile. "not even that, we're telling the whole school" chloe rolled her eyes.
jake gasped. "no please don't, you guys can't do that" jake desperately tried to convince the two girls on not saying anything. the two girls looked at each other and laughed.
"and why would we not tell everyone?" chloe questioned him, annoyance in her voice. "because if you guys do we will tell kade and logan to never talk to you guys again" chance confidently added.
"go ahead, if they stop talking to us because of you guys then they aren't who we thought they were" mackenzie responded, confidence in her voice. chloe nodded her head supporting her.
the two guys were scared out of their minds. only a small amount of girls knew about the kiss list, but if every single girl found out about it. all of the guys would be in so much trouble.
jake didn't want erika to find out. erika was a really sweet girl and jake was afraid that he might break her. he genuinely didn't want to hurt her feelings, even if he didn't want to admit it himself.
jake suddenly gasped. he smiled to himself and then turned around to chance. "can i have a word with chloe?" jake asked. "sure" chance said confused, he looked at his best friend and then at the girls and left.
"alone" jake said looking at mackenzie. she rolled her eyes and whispered something to chloe and left.
"what?" chloe spat at him clearly angry. "oh chloe, have you forgotten?" jake smirked at the girl, an evil look on his face. "w-what are you talking about?" chloe stuttered nervously.
"i know your damn secret bennett" jake harshly said. chloe's face went pale, she had made a big mistake in the past which could cause her relationship with logan and friendship with mackenzie, she could loose them all.
if anyone at school knew about it nobody would respect her anymore, she was always terrified of someone finding out but only jake knew about it and he promised not to tell anyone.
"jake" chloe breathed out. "now we want to play nice?" jake laughed at her. "but don't worry, i'll keep my mouth shut. but you can't tell anyone about what you heard, and you'll have to keep mackenzie quiet too" jake smiled sarcastically.
"i can't just let you hurt erika" chloe frowned. "erika is not your business" jake rolled his eyes at the desperate girl. "she is" chloe yelled. "she is not" jake corrected her.
"don't hurt her jake, she doesn't deserve the heart break" chloe begged him. jake sighed, he knew that chloe was right. "i won't" jake whispered. "you're going to play with her heart" chloe hissed. "i will not hurt her, damn it!" jake yelled at her.
chloe seemed shocked. "promise me jake" the girl softly said. "look chloe, the point is you can't do a damn thing about what you heard because i swear to god i will ruin you" jake responded harshly.
the girl started tearing up. that secret could literally ruin her life, her reputation and her friendships. "you know what, fuck you jake paul" chloe angrily spat at the guy, leaving him smirking at the angry girl.
chloe quickly turned around and walked away, making her way towards the girls bathroom. she got in and luckily found her best friend.
"oh my god chloe are you ok?" her best friend asked concerned. "did that motherfucker say something to you?" mackenzie asked, referring to her chat with jake.
chloe looked down at the floor and nervously bit her lip. "chloe, seriously what's wrong?" mackenzie once again asked, hugging her best friend. "i'm so sorry kenzie" chloe wiped the ears out of her eyes.
"what do you mean?" mackenzie asked really confused. "we can't tell anyone about what we heard, specially erika or cortney. erika can't find out" chloe explained nervously.
