"Is there anyone you don't know?" Yoongi grumbled at Jimin, who sat on the sofa with Taehyung, looking as thick as thieves.
Jimin shrugged his shoulders guiltily. He did have a habit of making friends as easily as he did enemies.
Tae kept his promise to visit Jungkook when next on leave and upon arriving at Yoongi's house to greet them both, was surprised to find an old friend under their protection.
"I can't believe it was you we rescued out there, I mean Hobi carried you out, but they whisked you away so fast for urgent care, no-one else saw you" Taehyung said, shaking his head, pained that it had been his old friend all this time that was hurt on Jungkook's last mission.
"Yeah, well don't worry about it, I've looked worse" Jimin sadly laughed, causing Jungkook to whip his head round from the table across the room.
"When?...When have you looked worse?" he angrily enquired.
Remembering quite vividly the condition Jimin had been in that day. He found it hard to imagine what a worse state would look like. It made him question just how insane these Iron Squad people were.
Jimin just shook his head, choosing not to reply to Jungkook's outburst and instead focused on his friend sat next to him.
But Tae was looking past Jimin, narrowing his eyes at his ex-team mate, barely recognising him. The Jungkook he knew was quiet, kind and dependable, but ever since Tae had arrived at the house, that same guy had been snappish and irritable.
"So, how do you two know each other?" Tae nosily enquired, stopping Jungkook from grilling Jimin anymore on the beating he had taken.
"Went to school together" Jungkook curtly replied, realising he may have over-reacted earlier and needed to reign in his anger.
"He had a scholarship" Jimin expanded, observing Taehyung wonder how Jungkook had afforded to go to that institute.
"Ah, I see. It can't have been an easy ride, I know what that school is like".
"It wasn't, but I had Jimin by my side, so I got through it" he replied, surprising the blonde on the sofa.
It was the first time Jungkook had openly acknowledged their past together and although he was only stating a fact. Jimin couldn't help but blush, embracing the simple statement as a compliment.
"I got shipped off to boarding school in England, same one as Jimin's cousin actually, but if I had stayed home, we could have been school pals" Taehyung said brightly.
Jungkook smiled, Tae had been a good friend over the years, but he couldn't help but wonder, if they had met in school, would he really have gone against the grain and dared to be seen with the poor outcast.
"Speaking of cousin's, where is the lovely Miran? How is she doing?"
"She talks too much is all I know" Yoongi butted in crankily, accusing her as the main antagonist to his otherwise peaceful life.
"She's out on a company dinner, ...actually she's usually home by now" Jimin said, ignoring Yoongi's moans, just as his phone started to ring.
Miran's name popped up on the caller ID and he quickly answered it, glad she had finally called.
"Hey! -What? She's where?... and you can't get in...ok wait there" Jimin spoke, then was on his feet in a second, the other three heads in the room quickly turning his way.
"Something's wrong" he said, more to himself then anyone in particular.
He raked a hand through his hair, pulling on the ends and trying to stop his head from going into a panicked free fall.
