Doug
As more weeks added to my stay at the school, I found I did get a reputation...

I was an non-teamed jock.

This, weirdly, had a bunch of girls fawning all over me.

And it probably didn't help that I figured out how to actually flirt without screwing up.

But, that led me to being late a few times and ending up in detention at least once...

That one time I was serving right now.

Either way, as I sat in the empty classroom, I saw another student walk in... I think his name was Roy.

He sat in the seat next to me, and instantly pulled out his phone.

I instantly thought about pulling it out of his grasp since we weren't supposed to have any electrics with us during detention...

But, I stopped myself solely because I didn't want to be seen as a teacher's pet.

Which is weird because just a couple weeks ago, I didn't care about my image like I am now.

With a shake of my head, I turned my attention back to the clock, showing I only have an hour left before I could go.

Fuck!” He suddenly cursed, gaining my attention.

“What?” I scoffed, having gained a slight attitude.

He glared before answering, “My damn phone just died.”

I rolled my eyes, "That doesn't make it the end of the world… trust me, I've been close… that ain't it.”

“How the fuck would you know?" Roy bit out.

I resisted the strong urge to hit him for his language.

"Dude, it's just a phone." I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"What? Did you grow up with hillbillies or something?"

I gritted my teeth and gripped my desk a bit.

"Oh, sorry, did I strike a nerve?" He mocked.

I glared at the clock, wanting it to be an hour later already.

"Guess I did." He scoffed a bit.

"Just ignore him, just ignore him…" I repeated, even though I wanted so badly to punch him in the jaw.

"Mr. Aquil." The Detention teacher walked in, "Your phone."

"Ah, come on, Professor! It's dead anyway!"

"Mr. Aquil. Give me your phone."

He growled and slammed the phone into the container on the front table.

I swear I didn't mean to... But I snorted at his doing this.

That got him to narrow his eyes on me, but it got the Professor's attention as well.

"What's so funny, Mr. Leary?" She inquired.

"Uh... Nothing, Professor." I lied, "Just... Thinking about a joke I heard in the halls."

She raised a brow at me, then nodded slowly, "I see."

Thank God she bought it.

As I was getting up, once my detention was over, Roy stuck his leg out in my path.

This caused me to trip and fall onto the table in front of me.

"Why you little....!" I growled as I got back up and grabbed his shirt.

"Mr. Leary...!"

I took in a breath before I let him go.

"Nice dealing with you, Leary." He smirked.

I gritted my teeth and walked out.

"Fucking bastard." I snarled softly, then blinked.

Well, safe to say, I'm not gonna be the same again.
