I awoke with a banging headache trying to escape my skull. My eyes were blood shot sore, but I push through the pain. I scan a dark surrounding, but the light of day beams through an entrance. I'm in a cave. How?

I noticed a burned out fire right besides my face in the cave, with a carcass of a rabbit half eaten. Hearing my stomach rumble in pain, I snatch it and devour it, eating it whilst laying on my side.

"Did I walk...or...did she...?"

I felt my head that was still aching, and guided to look at my body. I was stripped of my steel, left in my under armour, but I remained warm because of her.

She was laying on my torso, and it took me this long to notice. She was in her same attire, and fidgeting in her sleep. She was hugging me, drooling lightly on my clothes. I don't know what to make of this situation, but I'm grateful, as again I'm alive thanks to her. I tap her head lightly.

"Shaman? Lady? Viking?"

It's weird not knowing her name. She opened her eyes gently, and pushed away from me in shock. She went blush red in her face, and looked away. I chuckled but she wasn't amused.

"Do you have a name?"

She thought for a moment, probably deciding whether to trust me with her name. She ultimately shook no, and sorted out her tools. Whilst she was distracted, I began admiring her.

She's got her hair only on the top, the sides shaved down, with the top forming into a ponytail that's separated by string forming buns. A bone holding that ponytail in place. Her ears are also pierced with sharp bones, and her face is marked with dark blue colours. She's got...fingers around her neck, tied on a tight string. She's got a great attire, a battle skirt with a leather torso. Overall she's not bad looking...what am I saying, she's a Viking.

She wandered over to the entrance. I forced myself to my feet, and located my armour. I dress myself in my protection, and hoist my sword, that was wedged into a rock, and holstered it by my side. I stroll towards her, side by side, at the entrance of the cave.

"So...thank you."

She looked up to me.

"I would be dead if it weren't for you. I thank you, not just for the wolves, but also for dragging me here."

She showed no emotion at all, but reassumed walking through the shallow snow, and the light downfall of snow too. This is looking better for me as I'm not gonna be freezing to death, though it'll still be cold.

We walk through a clearing of trees and onto the same clouded path I collapsed on. She sniffed the air, and panned her eyes. I looked down to her.

"I have a question. What's the easiest way back to Ashfeld?"

She pointed past the carriage with the rotten corpses from last night, and deeper into Valkenheim itself.
