the cold light of midday hit louis as it normally would do, just from a different angle. and as the blue eyed boy gathered the courage to fight against his fatigue and open his eyes, it was only then, had he realised what he had done.

harry, peaceful and nude, laid right beside louis. beautiful in the ray of blue sky and sunshine that was unusual for a january morning.

louis needed to leave.

after crawling out of bed as silent as possible, louis proceeded to get his jeans on. it was a scummy thing to do, he knew that, but what was he even supposed to say or do when harry eventually woke?

"leaving already?" harry chuckled, startling louis in his escape plan. the boy turned around, in a manner he'd like to call slow for dramatic effect when in all reality it was rapid enough for him to be able to feel the wind that rushed through his hair as he did.

harry was sitting up, balancing his weight on his arms as he smirked at louis. pink and purple bites and bruises littered his chest and torso. it was easy to see he had had a fun night.

"it's fine if you are, just let me tell you one thing." harry bit his lip. louis took this opportunity to hum and sit on the edge of the bed besides harry.

louis raised his eyebrow. "go on."

"if you think this is gonna make me hate you or your friends any less, you're wrong." harry smirked, causing a small heat to rise to louis' cheeks. he scoffed lightly. "well, most people usually don't fuck the ones they hate." louis leaned in to harry, green orbs taking him in.

it was then harry's turn to blush as he traced over a couple of the bruises on louis' neck. he matched louis, also leaning in. "you're taking a really long time to leave, louis." the older boy scoffed in response, closing the gap between them once more.

"my friends are gonna know that i fucked somebody, you know." a smirk. that same smirk that harry wanted to wipe off louis' face. "give me your number?" harry bit his lip, a quick and effective way to contain his smile which was still pretty evident when louis hummed a no.

"i don't regret it, but i don't need anymore people calling me and begging for me to wreck them at stupid times in the morning." louis whispered, his forehead touching harry's lightly. harry leaned back with an eye roll, watching louis return to getting dressed.

"louis, lad!" niall called out to him upon hearing him enter his house. louis tutted. "you know, i almost forgot i gave you guys keys to my house." he rolled his eyes, holding his heart in faux surprise.

liam shook his head. "oh ha, ha. we've been here all night man, what were you doing?" louis blushed lightly, arising a smirk from niall. "or who were you doing?" liam's eyes widened in realisation.

"okay shut up, and i'll explain to you guys." louis shook his head before taking his jacket off. "right, so i did sleep with someone. no, i'm not gonna tell you who." louis declared, a smirk toying on his lips as he heard his friends' groans of disapproval.

"whatever, let's go to the café or something." louis dismissed niall's tone in his mind, picking his jacket back up off the floor and walking towards the door.

"but, just to let you know, we're not gonna drop this. we wanna know who you fucked and eventually you're gonna tell us."

once seated at the little coffee shop, louis looked around for harry instantly. he wasn't able to describe the nervousness in his eyes once he spotted him.

super tight skinny jeans and shirt that exposed his bruise littered chest. it was hard to keep the memories of last night out of louis' head. "ugh it's this guy again." niall scowled. "he's the one thing about this hut that i don't like." liam hummed an agreement.

"you complain a lot about him, niall. did you know he only performs for like an hour and then he switches with this girl called jade. so maybe if you hate him so much you shouldn't show up to his performances." louis shrugged.

liam shook his head. "first of all, lou, how do you even know that?" all three boys erupted into fits of laughter. this caused harry, and the majority of the café to notice their arrival. louis just sighed. "i know that cause–"

"hey, um, i'm about to go on so yeah shut the fuck up." harry had approached their table. louis was able to see his bruises in public. he wanted to reach out and touch them, but he couldn't. because he knew that, if he could see them, liam and niall could most likely also see them.

niall scoffed, "alright listen buddy-" fuck. louis rushed to put his hand over niall's mouth. "niall, chill the fuck out before we get kicked out of the coffee shop." louis sighed, raising suspicion from liam.

harry smirked, "thank you, louis," and walked away. as much as louis hated to admit it, he may or may not have been staring at harry's behind as he made his way over to the stage.

louis released his grip on niall's mouth, prepared for the grumbles and curses he would mutter under his breath.

liam was the first to speak. "alright, what the fuck was that!" he hissed so only louis and niall could hear. "what do you mean?" louis furrowed his eyebrows.

"okay look, louis, i'm not an idiot. you got fucked last night. harry clearly got fucked last night, i mean he has hickeys fucking everywhere. he knows you on first name basis! he said 'thank you louis'! niall are you putting this together yet?" liam was practically bouncing with his detective skills.

niall just shook his head, glancing back from harry to louis before his mouth formed an o-shape. "holy fuck! liam's right isn't he?" niall made a terrifying screeching noise to go with his accusations. "right about what? you guys are confusing the fuck out of me." louis chuckled nervously.

"did you, or did you not, fuck harry?" niall whispered. "you guys are ridiculous. you think i fucked harry because we both got action last night? manchester's a big place, you know. and about the first name basis thing, maybe it's because we go here like every day and we say each others names? like, i'm pretty sure he knows niall's name. chill out, guys, okay?" louis scoffed, rubbing at his temples.

liam raised his arms in mock self defence. "alright fine. maybe we jumped to conclusions, sorry." niall admitted with a shrug. "i'm going to get a coffee."

leaving just liam and louis at the table, niall headed to the bar, bumping into harry on the way. "can you watch where you're fucking going?" harry snapped, niall rolled his eyes. "alright listen, i don't like you and you don't like me but i need you to be honest with me." niall sighed.

harry cocked up an eyebrow, taking a seat at the bar next to niall. "what?"

"did you sleep with louis?" harry scoffs at this. "why did he say that?" he asked niall, the irish boy nodding in response. he knew that the only way to get somebody to own up to something was to stir the pot a little.

shock was evident on harry's face, "well, no, i didn't. and tell him that the next time he wants to start a fucking rumour, to make it a little more realistic." harry strutted off towards the stage to begin his set.

niall blinked, unsure of what had just occurred and he probably should've left it at that.

"louis would never fuck someone like you anyway."
