~Jamie
"Thank you so much Jamie for helping with the green house." I smiled as I looked at Hailee who was the owner of the greenhouse at the college. With her orange hair up in a messy bun and her green eyes glistened around at the arranged plants she clapped her happily together. I walked over to her and handed the clipboard over to her and she took it scanning over it.
"I ordered some new tulips as ours sadly did not make. I hope you don't mind." I said moving my loose pony in front of my shoulder and stroking it. Something I tended to do when I was in a nervous or vulnerable situation. Hailee smiled once again.
"Oh Jamie, I can always count on you to keep this old place in shape. You excited for the flower festival." She asked. I nodded happily.
"Oh yes I hope our float wins." I squealed. Palm springs california had an annual Flower festival that I have gone to since I was a little girl. Sure I was 19 going on 20, but something as special as the flower festival still made me squeal like a little girl. And I was even more excited to hear that my college was enrolling a float into the flower contest. The winning float will win the college 10 thousand dollars which made me hope that Ours won. Smiling at hailee, who was my gardener teacher I dismissed myself as I grabbed my bag and walked out, welcoming the warm air as I began walking round the side and to the front of the college.
The college was a private college for wanna be fashion designers and florists. You still had math classes and such, plus earn your bachelors and associate. It wasn't as expensive as a normal college but was still pricey.
My dad Alfredo was one of the biggest mafia bosses around california, and was known for his many helping in the californian area. Working with the police for to not only capture and execute those who deserve. This has made my dad a billionaire and have everything he needs.
Reaching the front of the college I smiled as I saw my Brother Dayton.
"Day Day." I snickered giving him a hug, enjoying the surprise of him picking him up. It was usually a body guard my dad had come pick me up.
"Jay Jay." He mocked returning me a hug as we laughed at our childhood nicknames for one another.
"What brings you here, I thought you were on a business trip with leah." I teased him and he rolled his eyes scoffing. Dayton was not only the next mafia boss, but also ran his own designer business alongside his co owner leah. Leah was a sweet women with long brown curly hair and bright blue eyes that would take away any mans breath. Her and Dayton have been friends since middle school and I like to tease him about her. He doesn't have a thing for her, and it's obvious that he sees her more as a sister than a brother, visa versa with her. Plus she is married with a beautiful daughter so it's not like they would get far.
"I got back early from the trip. Dad thought it would be a nice thing for me to come and surprise ya by picking you up." He smiled sweetly and I smiled back as we began climbing into his black SUV. I had my own car, but dad preferred me to ride with a bodyguard to keep me protected. Although it could be a slight annoyance because I love driving it never bothered me much. What ever kept father happy. Dayton and I talked about his business trip and how he was able to open up a new deal in new york. Of course I congratulated him and supported him throughout it all. Despite me not liking the fact that my father and the rest of the mafia killed beings it wasn't so bad and I liked to support my family through whatever decisions they made. Especially my brother. Him and I pushed each other and gave each other the support that was needed, even if the idea was bad. My grandfather always told me "We as humans learn from our mistakes, but how can we learn if they are not made."
