No way

           After school Kira and Lexi met in the spot they said they would. "Hey how was today?" Kira asked to her best friend expecting a sad reaction out of Lexi. "Ya know what, it was actually really good." Lexi said smiling. "Really? I'm so happy about that. Alright come on I'm ready to go to your house I'm hungry" Kira said. This was not strange because, Kira was always taking Lexi's food. "Well we can't go yet because I have rehersals for theater tonight and I have to take some photos for my photography class." Lexi said to Kira. "Oh right, the great Lex who can do everything" Kira said to Lexi as they started walking to Lexi's car. "Oh come on I can't do 'everything'" Lexi responded. "You're right, the only thing you can't do is like 'Whu don't we'" Kira said to Lex and Lex rolled her eye's. The girl's laughed and Kira said "Oh hey, there is this charity masquerade ball tonight that I want to volenteer at, and we could get payed pretty good. Want to go? It's at 8" Kira asked Lexi as they got in the car. "Ummm, sure why not" Lexi said. "Yes! I already have our dresses!" Kira said in excitement. "Wait dresses for volenteer work?" Lex questioned. "Um, haha, did I say vonenteer? I ment go and have fun." Kira said awkwardly. "Kira!" Lexi said to her best freind. "Oh come on Lex, it'll be fun. Like you said 'make fun out of today'. Please?" Kira begged. "Okay fine but we have to be back by 11." Lexi said to Kira. "Deal, now can we get food before your rehersal?" Kira asked, and both the girls laughed.
             Lexi and Kira got back to the house around 6, which ment they had just enough time to get ready. Lexi went to grab a water from the fridge before going up stairs to get ready when she saw a note on the door. It read,

Hey honey, we are so so sorry but we forgot that we have a show tonight.
We feel awful that we cannot be with you on this day because it's so hard.
Tonight we are dedicating the show to Payton. We love you so much and we hope you can forgive us.
We will let you know when we will be home. Stay strong our little queen. We love you!

Lexi immeaditly pulled out her phone and texted her dad's 'Love you too, and yes I forgive you.' And hit send, then went upstairs to get ready with Kira.
                 After two hours the girl's were ready for the ball with amazing dresses and wonderful masks'. "Ready to go?"Kira asked Lexi. "As ready as I'll ever be" Lexi responded, and the girls walked down staris and drove off to the ball. When they arrived they felt as though they were making a fariytale enterance. They had beautiful dresses, and a huge spotlight pointing at them, the perfect song playing, and no one knew who they were. The girls looked at  eachother and Kira said "let's go have some fun!" And the girls walked down the staris and enterd the party. After about an hour the girls were just standing at a table laughing and talking when someone caught Lexi's eye. She saw just about the cutest guy she has ever seen. He had beautiful hazel eye's and he had the best blonde hair. He was wearing a grey wolf mask, but through that she could see he was incredably handsome. He looked like he was her age, which was 18, but he aslo looked like he could be a bit older. Lexi realized she must have been staring for a while because he looked right back at her and she saw Kira's had waving in her face. "Huh? what?" Lexi said snaping out of her daze. "I said 'what are you looking at?'" Kira said restating her question that she apparently asked. "That guy over there" Lexi said nodding over to the guy. "ohhh he's cute and he is totaly checking you out. Who  is he?" Kira asked. "I'm not sure." Lexi said. But one thing she knew was that she definately wanted to talk to him.

                  After couple minutes of the girl's trying to guess who the mystery guy was, Lexi saw him making his way over to them. "Oh my gosh Lex. Don't look now but mystery guy is coming this way." Kira said excitedly. But before Lexi had time to respond he was already there. "Hello, I was just out walking around when I saw you and I could not help but notice how beautiful you are." He said to Lexi. "What's your name?"He politly asked Lexi. "Well how do I know you're not some kind of serial killer or something?" Lexi asked obviously kidding. "Touche, how about a dance to get to know each other better, at the end of the dance we reval our names." He said. Lexi and Kira exchanged looks, and with the look Kira gave Lexi, she knew that she had to say yes. "Alright deal" She said and took hsi hand out to the dace floor.
                The song began and they began dancing. "Okay I get to ask the first question. How old are you?" Lexi asked. "19, about to turn 20. You?" He replyed "18." Lexi responded. They contuinued asking questions like that untill the end of the song. At the end he looked worried. "So what is your name?" He asked clearly in a hurry for some reason. "Alexis, but my freinds call me Lex or Lexi." She said. "Well Alexis, do you trust me?" He asked rushing. "What?" Lex said confused. "Do you trust me?" He asked again. "Yes" She replyed without thinking. "Okay well we have to go. I promise I'll explain when we're out of here" he said holding out his hand.  Again without thinking, she took his hand and they ran. Once they were outside, he took her to his car and they got in and drove away fast. "Okay you said you would explain once we were out of there. So explain." she told him. He pulled into a parking lot of the town store. "If I tell you something you have to swear not to tell anyone." He told her. "I swear." After those words came out of her mouth he hesitantly removed his mask. 'No way' was her only thought.
