We all need someone
to cheer us up when we are down.
We all need someone
to make us smile, when we frown.
Someone who would take care of us in every way,
someone, no matter what, would always stay.
A soul, which would love us for who we are,
even though we are miles apart, across the lands, so far.
A person who would carefully listen to us,
absorbing every word, without a fuss.
A spirit to guide us if we are wrong,
a spirit to make us strong.
a spirit of affection,
like an epitome of perfection.
A being who knows all our secrets,
someone who would not let us fret.
a person to trust, a soul to adore,
with whom we fall in love, more and more.
We all a need a certain someone in our life,
someone who would help us in each and every strife.
A certain someone who would let us soar,
someone who would remain with us for evermore.
