A feint sound and rustle nearby caused your eyelids to flutter open. They still felt heavy, as you must not have gotten enough sleep the night before. The color of skin came into focus and you were able to make out Polnareff's angular jawline. Your arm lay haphazardly over his torso and you could feel the steady rise and fall of his chest with every slow breath he took. It was now that you found your head resting in the dip of his shoulder and you narrowed your eyes suspiciously. You had no idea how he managed to pull off such a boorish romantic tactic without waking you. Nevertheless, you were honestly kind of impressed by the effort. 'Cuddly dork...' You smirked at his sleeping face with his jaw slack and his hair disheveled. His unguarded appearance was so unusual that it almost struck you as cute. 'No, he's stupid. He has a stupid face...' But it was one that made you smile nonetheless.

'What is that...?'  You furrowed your brows.

"Morning, sleepyheads~." Joestar said with sunshine in his tone, but the nearness of his voice startled you. You looked up to see all three of your other comrades hovering over you, insinuating grins decorating their faces. Even Jotaro was smiling. "It's good to see you two finally getting along." Your eyes shot wide and your jaw fell open when you noticed the camera in his hands.

"BUWAH!" You jolted up instantly.

"Oh yeah, that'll be a keeper."

"Hey! Gimme that!" You couldn't help but blush in embarrassment at the compromising position you had been captured in.

"Come and get it." Joseph teased and stuck his tongue out at you in a surprisingly childish manner. "Mleh." You stumbled barefoot into the sand and jumped, but he held the developing Polaroid high above his head, far out of your reach.

"Oh, come on!" You whined.

"What's all this noise about?" Polnareff stirred, rubbing his eyes.

"See for yourself." Jotaro held a picture at face level.

"You have one too?!" You gaped, realizing now that your battle with Joseph was an exercise in futility; he had taken more than one photo. Polnareff squinted until the blurred sleepiness faded from his vision, then looked perturbed for a moment. His cheeks notably flushed but he somehow managed to keep his composure.

"Oh, chérie~, don't be embarrassed." He grinned back at you. "They're just jealous of our love." Leave it up to Jean Pierre to ham it up even at his own expense; anything to spite you... "You just had to be close to me, didn't you? Go, ahead. You can admit it." He continued to poke at your patience once more. "Stick with me and I'll chase the bad dreams away." He made a kissy face. It annoyed you because surely if he had awoken in the same manner as you, he would have been equally flustered.

"That's it." You threw your hands up. "I'm sleeping in the sand tonight." The group chuckled. That smug bastard certainly had a knack for getting under your skin. Sometimes his mere presence was enough to make you want to take a bath with a toaster, or go hang out with that Dio fellow- whichever demise would be swifter.

"You wont have to." Joseph replied. "Look." Your gazes followed his finger and, seemingly out of nowhere, a small village came into view.

"Oh, thank goodness! Civilization!" Your silver-haired adversary sighed in elation. Even from this distance you were able to hear the bustling of the morning marketplace, filled with silk traders and food stalls of all kinds.
