Rumble rumble...
"Huh?" Mr. Perez said, under his breath, "What was that?"
Apparently the audience heard it too, because they all looked around in confusion. Everyone hesitantly looked back at me. I slowly picked up the paper and went to hand it to Mr. Perez.
Rumble rumble...
The rumble was much louder this time. I tensed, "What's going on?"
"It's..nothing important. Nothing we should bring our attention to."
Mr. Perez insisted,"Give me the paper, Parzival. I see you're done signing." I give Mr. Perez my paper when it happened again.
Rumble rumble...
The rumble brought everyone's attention to the walls. The noises were coming from inside the building.
More rumbles, there were some clicks and scraping sounds too. Mr. Perez clenched his fists a bit, "This is nothing that should distract our ceremony!"
Everything went downhill at that point. I'll try to explain what happened the best I can.
Cracks started forming in the walls, and the ground started to shake a bit. The audience shrieked, none of those poor people knew what was happening. Suddenly, the walls burst open.
BOOM!
Dust and broken bricks flew everywhere. The debris slapped me straight in the face as I slipped off of the stage in surprise, hitting the ground hard. The loud landing was nothing compared to the strange beeps heard and the screams of the audience though. As my body collided with the ground the wind got knocked--no, pounded out of me. I lay there for a moment in awe, and just watching people get taken away by...giant robots? Once I regained my ability to literally think clearly, I gasped (well tried to) and attempted to raise myself up to run.
I should've known to regain my breath before moving my body that drastically, but my adrenaline was going way too fast to think of that. My body just hit the floor again. I finally thought of trying to regain my breath before the weird robots came and decided to swoop me away to their magical kingdom of who knows what. Doom? Horror? Death? No time to think of that now. I needed to get control of myself.
I regain my breath fairly fast. I'm so thankful for that, because once I got up a yellow robot was coming right for me! It was almost the size of a semi-truck too. I shriek in terror, and sprint to the doors. The robot wasn't so fast, but then there were more coming for me! Note: There were like 50 of these things, they were taking everyone.
I keep running. I've never run this fast before, and when I stop I know I'll pass out. It's better fainting in somewhere safe than here, I thought to myself. I ran and I ran and I ran until I could run no more. I ran down the red carpet stairs, I ran with the employee I saw earlier until he went a different direction, and I rushed into the large parking lot. I thankfully got out of that place fast enough. I was far enough from the building that the hideous robots stopped chasing me, and went to someone else to satisfy their blood-cravings.
I slowed down, and I reached a patch of grass. My body slowly stopped itself, and I literally felt all of my energy escape my body as I got ready for the impact. White, black, and unexplainable colors fill my vision and I hit the ground.
