Also in the ChoiSandwich Week Book but I'm just putting it in this one-shot book too. It's the exact same story in each book.^^
All three of us knew that the weather wasn't going to be the best today but that never stopped us before, what's so different about now? Right now, I'm in the driver seat, driving of course, heading back home from grocery shopping with the twins. I thought it would be a good idea since both never really go outside for fresh air. It's pouring rain, and as I drive on a nearly abandoned road with the twins in the back seat, I feel at peace with everything, with the rain as a sound that fills the air along with Saeyoung and Saeran talking happily. Peace.
"Hey!" Saeran shouts at Saeyoung, making me come out of my happy place. My eyes flick to the rear-view mirror to look at them, just in time to see Saeran hit Saeyoung across the head. Both of them have a smile on so I know it's nothing bad and I let a small giggle out. Both of the red-haired boys turn their attention towards me and suddenly their smiles fall and their eyes go wide, mouths agape. They seem to be looking out onto the road, something that I'm looking at back and forth at between it and the twins. I look back at the road for good this time, just in time to hear a horn blasting, screams and a set of headlights before everything goes black.
Ambulances and Firefighters arrive quickly, about 5 minutes after Saeyoung made the call and then made another call to Jumin right after. There was a car that had drifted onto the wrong lane resulting in a crash. Both twins are deemed okay after getting pulled out, only minor cuts and bruises littering their skin. (Y/N) on the other hand was unconscious when she was pulled out, one leg seemed different from the other and blood was running down the side of her head, arms and legs. She was immediately put into an ambulance and whizzed off to the nearest hospital, Saeyoung and Saeran close behind in another ambulance for further inspection, just in case.
Upon arrival, (Y/N) was put into surgery for removal of all the glass shards and to stop any internal bleeding she has. After the surgery was a success, the three were all put into the same hospital room to stay in, requested by Jumin himself. The entire RFA were there in that one hospital room discussing (Y/N)'s and the twins' condition.
"Saeyoung and Saeran will be fine, only earning a couple of cuts and bruises, (Y/N) on the other hand..." the doctor trailed off, not sure how to put lightly their friend's state.
"What is it!?" Saeran snapped, growing impatient at the lack of information being given to them. The doctor was slightly taken aback at the quiet boy's sudden rise in volume, but nonetheless regained his composer and continued.
"She could suffer from slight amnesia. We aren't sure how severe it is but we know for certain that if she does, that she will almost 100% be able to regain them." Everyone was in silence. She could forget them... but then would eventually remember them... it was a lot to take in.
"There's more," the doctor added, "she has multiple cuts littering her body and also a broken leg, which she is lucky to still have. Although, she will need to go through some physical therapy for it, since it was damaged severely, we also don't know exactly when she'll wake up. Other than that, nothing more is wrong and she will make a full recovery, how long it will take is the mystery. Anyway, it's getting late and visiting hours are over, goodnight all of you." The doctor finished then left the room.
A couple minutes passed full of more silence until everyone started to leave and said goodnight to the twins, since visiting hours were over. Everyone could only hope for their friend to recover, especially the two red-heads.
Saeyoung and Saeran were discharged in the morning and were able to go home but they instead chose to stay by (Y/N)'s bedside until she wakes up. It's not until that night that she wakes up. She looks over to them and smiles.
"Hey..." she says in a hoarse whisper. The twins stare at her for a second then smile a small smile.
"Hey... do you know who we are?" Saeyoung asks, gesturing to himself and his brother. She looks between the two, confused, but not for the reason you would think.
"It's okay if you don't, we-" Saeran starts to say, upset that she seemingly couldn't remember, but (Y/N) cuts him off in the middle of his sentence.
"Of course I know who you both are. You're Saeyoung, with your big goofy yellow and black glasses that I love and you're Saeran, who I also love, who loves ice cream with a passion that I swear if you could marry it you would in a heart beat." She says, giggling at the end. Both Saeyoung and Saeran perk up at the knowledge that she can remember them and they both go in for a gentle hug, since (Y/N) is still pretty beat up from the car accident. When they pull away their smiles only grow bigger and a though runs though (Y/N)'s head.
'Thoseare the smiles I know so well... and smiles that I'll never forget, ever...'
