Shrek thought, and decided he could get rid of all bad and live in happiness with Fiona. He could do this with the infinity gauntlet. However, he used it poorly, for he decided to destroy the whole universe without realizing him and Fiona were part of it too.
They both faded away, waking up in not Green death land, but normal death land.
As unfortunate as it was, they looked at each other happily. They were together now, so they could ignore the dying people, the murderous people, and the Thanos who had still been angry about not having his infinity gauntlet anymore.
